ok - so i guess i'll never learn
i put a robe on in the mornings if it's chilly, not for modesty's sake, as my pjs are pretty modest anyway...
so it never fails - i don't tie the tie, i go to the potty - and dunk the dang tie!
this morning, not just one end, but BOTH - so i can't just pull the clean end through and wash the sash - i have to wash the whole garment!
aaarrrggghh!
anyone else have any silly things that you do - and just can't break that habit?

Silly things ... I wouldn't call it silly exactly. But I have a really tough time throwing out boxes ... of any kind. This worked out well for me when I moved as I had a good stockpile of empty boxes in my patio storage closet to use for packing. Now, however, my move is completed (moved happened in April) and I am still unpacking boxes ... and KEEPING BOXES!!!!
On the plus side, my sister is moving sometime this fall so I can sent these boxes her way ... if I can let them go!

i do the same thing - i keep thinking it would be good to ship something (which i seldom do) or store something (which i am trying to whittle down)
but i've recently discovered lasagna gardening http://www.bconnex.net/~carolw/lasagna1.html
- where you alternate layers of cardboard, compost, dirt and newspapers - works great for me, since i have clay soil (and i never throw anything away)

Thank you for that link. The soil in my yard is very parched looking and looks to be lacking "fibre" and this may be a good way to help build up the soil. And this link will help me in my research as I work on making garden/yard plans for next spring. I'm not doing much to change the yard until I know how I want to reorganize it.
