What's the best way to make money on e-bay?

I've joined e-bay in the last couple of months and I started by putting just one item online. Just to see how it would go and if it would sell, of course it didn't but maybe I marked it to high. I'm still interested in selling on e-bay but am not sure how I should go about it. I've looked into creating a store but am not sure if I have enough items to create one yet. I thought about just selling all my items on a regular listing like most sellers on e-bay have done. Or maybe it would be better to use the sell it now button or would using the bidding option work better? I also thought about buying this kit that's been offered on TV and online for e-bay but i've been told you don't need to waste your money on that. My last option I thought about was holding an auction to sell my items on e-bay. I'm not sure what to do I mostly have clothes to get rid of but don't know if they will sell and i'm confused about how much to charge for shipping like what's to much or to low. Is there anyone out there that has been successful with e-bay or know's any tips of tricks to help me out? Any information would help me.

Hi and welcome to myLot. If you are a new seller/member on eBay, the one thing experienced bidder try to avoid is a new seller. If your item is at a price that is a bit high, there is always the chance you'll scam them, not have decribed the item properly, etc.
Try listing you items for a price you feel okay about selling them for and maybe list 3 or 4 items I have a promoting tool you can use to promote your eBay auctions- it can earn you extra money, which is great for off-setting eBays fees!)
If a seller sees several items, they may feel more comfortable in placing a bid or two.
I like to list several "like" items at the same time and add items during the week, so I have auctions ending on different days. All of my auctions are either 5 or 7 day listings and I research eBay's ended auctions to see the time and date the auctions ended and for how much. I feel that's the best way to find when the buyers are on eBay looking for these items (there's a free site that shows you when specific categories sell best and for what price...I'll see if I can find the address for the site for you)
Good Luck and again, welcome to myLot!
