Love this story

This is an excellent story. It shows a universal truth about how one mother can do so much for one son, but one son cannot show any appreciation for one mother. I don't know what it is about the world we live in today. My Grandmother had 10 children and managed to raise them. However, now that she is old and invalid, looking after her has become a bit of a chore for her ten children. I don't know what it is that makes parents do what they do. They work hard and sacrifice their time and energy for their kids, and the kids often don't see what the parents have done for them and usually end up having all sorts of issues with their parents. And yet, parents carry on doing what they've always done, raising kids and doing what they can for them. Personally, I used to think that this was the silliest thing in the world to do. After all, why should one devote all that time, energy and responsability to something that will not appreciate what you do for them. Then, one day, my girlfriend introduced me to her kid she had from a previous relationship. And suddenly, after spending sometime with the little girl, I think I know why my folks went to the trouble that they did just for me.
