He went to a family reunion. He will be back around 10pm central. Do you worry when family members are driving long distances alone? We thought it would be best for me not to go. It's about 300 miles give or take each way. Being pregnant, and in the heat may not have been the best combo for me. He called me along the trip. And when he got there.

I hope your hubby watched out for roaming charges. I hear they can be a surprise. Otherwise, I think it is a good plan to have a cell phone for long trips and check in from time to time. You never know what could happen on the road.

I have not had to worry about this since my family members usually drive with each other or with friends. I think that I probably would worry if they traveled a long distance and did not hear from them at all. If they called me at some point during the trip I would feel more comfortable. My long road trips have been with family or friends so I have not been alone on my really long trips. You definitely need to be careful since you are pregnant and am glad that your husband called you while on the trip.

I have a son that is in the PRCA and he is always on the road all over the place pulling a horse trailer along with him. I worry, but we keep in contact by phone and he always lets me know where he's at and how he's doing. Thank the lord for the person who invented the cell phone

My wife is always worried for me, and keeps calling, when ever I am on a long distance trip...I think it is common , to be worried for those whom we love ...
