I'd genuinely like to know where you read that Lou! It's a subject that has always fascinated me.
I can't honestly say that I've noticed any change in the hair color of babies. I've only seen two newborns in the last year but both were born with very dark hair including my Great Nephew who was born about 2 months ago.
It would be interesting to see if there is a trend toward lighter hair though!

Interesting about the DNA...but I work in a daycare and we get new babies all the time, and I haven't noticed the ginger hair thing at all. Most of the recent ones we've gotten in the past year have been very blonde.

i have neither noticed or heard about our changing dna, there is nobody in our familly with ginger hair and i was always under the impression that the gene is inherited.
my children dont have it and neither do i
but it certainly is intresting to read about the changing dna :)
