Yes drink allot of water does make you pee. But I think that's the point. It makes you get up and go to the bathroom and it also helps you eat less.

That is not necessarily a hard and fast rule anymore. It can actually be bad for you if you aren't eating properly or regularly. The more water you drink the more minerals such as potassium, magnesium and calcium you wash out of your body. Most people when dieting eat less therefore your not replacing the minerals.
Regular hydration is very important but if you aren't exercising to excess over-hydrating isn't necessary.
My best tips would be to moderate your food intake don't starve yourself or go without meals just eat less, cut down on animal fats, drink a four ounce glass before each meal and then drink whatever liquid you want to with your meal. Sip water regularly throughout the day to maintain hydration. And exercise regularly.
Losing weight doesn't have to be a chore or inconvenient. Diets don't work, you have to change your habits and rethink your relationship with food. You don't have to stuff yourself to be satified. Just eat slowly and only until you aren't hungry anymore, don't eat until you get that uncomfortable "full" feeling.
I lost 68 lbs this way and I averaged, and still do, the equivelant of about 4-6 glasses of water per day. That's plenty for my activity level.

You don't have to drink a whole 8 ounces at a time. You can do 2 ounces at different times of the day. I think that much is a bit extreme. 32 ounces would probably be better.

In my first year of high school I started drinking lots of water because my favoite teacher always had huge bottles of water on her desk. Now I drink water excessively, I love water, and I always have to go to the bathroom during the middle of the night. Unfortunately, because of the amount of water I drink, I do not have the best blatter strength.
