If you go to church on Saturday night or Sunday morning, do you sleep in church when you go? We have a few that if they are not sleeping on a given week I wonder if they are okay:)

When I was a kid,my mom and my grandparents made me go to church and I would usually stretch out in a pew and sleep, and when I was younger church seemed to go on forever, and when I got older I stopped sleeping in church, and now me and my fiance do not go to church very often even though we know we should, but if we do start going back to church I know we will not sleep through it.

You are not alone. A lot of people sleep or used to sleep in church and alot of people don't go to church but know that they should. You oughta find a good church where you and your fiance fit in and enjoy going. I enjoy the friends and fellowship we have through church. It makes our marriage stronger, too

Yeah I know I am not alone, and I am sure that there are a lot of people who sleep or used to sleep in church, just like I am sure a lot of people wish they went, and we should try and find a church where we fit in,and one of the reasons I do not go is because the preacher of the church my grandparents used to go to,is a very not nice man,and has committed a lot of acts that a preacher should not do,and then he kicked my grandparents and like half of the other people going there out, because they would not follow his lies,I used to respect that man,so it was hard finding out he is a bad person,so I am not sure who to trust.

I can understand your not wanting to go. Unfortunately we are hearing all too much about preachers, priests and ministers doing sinful acts that they should not be doing. It is a sad thing. Please know that they are not all like that. But I can understand not wanting to trust them after going through that.

I fall asleep in church nearly every single week. Part of this is because I never really hear anything new, and part of it is because I tend to work evenings and then stay up late and church is early in the morning. The other part is that I attend this church because my parents expect me to not because I actually believe it. A lot of people sleep, but nobody really seems to mind.

Agreed. Those are all common reasons why people sleep. Even though your parents make you go, try going once with and open mind. Pretend you are going beacuse you want to and you are excited about what you are going to hear that day. See if the message hits you any differently that day. You never know, you might start liking church then:)
