do you have a car? lots of people have cars, but i don't. one reason is that i can't afford to buy one, even a motorcycle, another reason is that i can't drive a car, i haven't learnt how to drive it and i'm afraid to do so, coz i've heared of a lot of car accidents happening, and two of my beloved university teachers died in a car accident, so i feel frightened to drive a car or even thinking of driving a car.

we are on the same boat. i can not afford to buy a car. i am a single mom of four childrenand my husband does not give any financial support. so every money i get a budget it with what we need. bu t i wish i do have a car. travelling is expensive without a car. if we will go to the mall we are going to travel with train or with the bus. when it is time to go home and it is hard to get a bus and the train are all jammed pack we have no option but to take the cab. if a sum up all the money we spend for the transportation it is cheaper to buy gasoline. so i wish i can afford to buy a car even the used ones

The worst thing you could do is to be afraid when driving. Is normal to be a little afraid when something new is going to be learned, but if you are extremely afraid is better to take the taxi for your safety. Try to learn, get a job or make money online and you can have your car. A used one, well is up to you to decide.

I do have a car but you know i can't help admiring those that don't, I have a couple of friends who just get around by public transport and their own legs and they actually go to more places than I do..i admire them because they just put their backpacks on and go without the worry of car accidents, car insurances and registrations and up keep of the car and not to mention petrol, I say good on you for not being dependent on the car...

I guess it depends on where you live but I just couldnt imagine getting around without a car. I'll either walk or ride a bike if I'm not going very far but most of the time I drive where I need to go. I guess if you live in an area that has good and safe public transportation it would be okay. All we have here are busses that dont always work well with my schedule and just getting in the car and going is so much easier.
