I'm assuming that each of MyLot's 130,000+ members has a reason for joining this site. Here's mine:
I discovered MyLot during one of my make-money-escapades. At first I was definitely skeptical, but I gave it a try anyway. I decided to join not just because of the money, although that's a great bonus! I joined because of the opportunity I thought it would give me in terms of helping me develop my writing skills somehow. Plus, the feelign of being a part of a community is such a wonderful bonus. When I think back on it, I wonder why I didn't look for the site earlier (:
Now's the time to tell why you chose to (:
I'd love to hear your stories!

Hi, newbie. The longer you stay, the better you'll like it.
I received an e-mail from myLot, not passed along by another member, and it sounded like it was worth looking into. Naturally, it's easy to tell within the first few minutes that it's not going to make anyone rich, but I've been directed to many lucrative sites. More than that, though, it's the myLotters I'm here for. There are wonderful discussions with people all over the world, and it's easy to just log off if you don't like the way a discussion is going. Except when a few people have decided to put something over on someone else and have them banned from the site jsut because they don't like each other, it's truly a pleasant place to hang out. If there were a way to stop all haters from hurting others, it would be really fabulous!

my cousin encourage me to sign up here but first i am not interested for i think this is the waste of time for me. But now i'm realize that this site given me a chance to share my thoughts and be even to them. I found out that it is not a waste of time because i made friends here. It also enhancing our writing skills but as i have notice here in mylot, it is not important if we have mistakes of words as long as we understand the whole body of the topic, it is ok.
Happy mylotting.

I joined myLot a few months after I graduated from college. It seemed like a good idea then because I didn't have an allowance nor do I have a source of income. SO far I've only received payment once and I'm really convinced that myLotting won't be able to pay for my bills, which is why I'm still on the prowl for a permanent job. But I like the myLot community. I enjoy sharing my views and thoughts with fellow myLotters. It's a good way to pass time as a bum. And the money, though very small, will go a long way in the future. I plan to save all my hard earned money and get myself a new camera at the end of the year. :P

I'm currently in college! lol, and yes, i can imagine how money must be tough, especially when you just graduated and don't have a job yet. I myself am trying to do my best to live simply so that i won't have too much of a tough time when I'm in your position, .

You are right every member has a reason for joining this site. I joined my lot because here i get response to my problems or i can take others view on my opinion.
The best thing about mylot is it gives us a user friendly interface where a new user can also interact with the new user.

That was a year back and you are expecting me to remember the why of it. I don't remember how I came upon Mylot but I am sure glad I did no matter how I came upon it. The first thing was I thought it was pretty cool to get paid for discussions and responses. Then as I came back day after day it became more than the money which isn't a lot. But I like to type and this gives me a perfect chance to improve my typing. But the most important thing of all is after I had been here a short piece of time the people who made me feel welcome was unreal. They made me feel like I was part of a very big and beautiful family. And I still feel this way one year later.

I am member of mylot from about 1 year. But most of the times i only read responses. Some discussions are so interesting that i forget to respond them & go on reading. Yes, getting new feiends & making some money are also reasons for joining mylot.

I joined mylot yesterday only..I am a member of ibibo and squidoo where i love to write blogs, being read and commented. But i joined mylot with a knowledge that i can make money here. But after the very first day, i am realizing the power of mylot. I am getting responses to my discussions within seconds. Its a highly active group and i am happy to be a part of it.Also most of the discussions are worth reading rather than a group of assembled words....:-)

I can't remember how I stumbled onto MyLot but I'm sure glad I did. I haven't been a member that long, but I already feel like a part of the community and have made some nice online friends. I also look for specific members as I like to read their discussions. I haven't made any money yet, but I do it because its fun and I find it helps me relieve my own stress by reading about other's problems and trying to find a solution for them. I also like to give advice and personal experience if its a subject I'm familar with. Like you I wish I been a member a long time ago!

I had always enjoyed contributing on other sites, what better way to do it when a little pay may be involved. Though I do not come here as often but I do enjoy reading the discussions

I joined mylot only two weeks ago when i searched earning online key words. Mylot drew my attention because it's different from many other sites claiming big money earned in a few days. I checked its guidelines and FAQ and decided that i like this site. So here i am. I'm now starting to refer my friends to join mylot too. But some of them are being sceptical too. I'll do my best to convince them that mylot is definately worth their trying it. After all, they have nothing to lose.

I found it just yesterday thinking, oh man, I can make some money. I am already addicted to reading the discussions here. I used to troll some specialized forums, but this is pretty cool, because there is such a wide ranging variety of topics to look at.
