Has anybody ever played second life? I recently played it for about half a day. NEVER AGAIN!! I would like to say the game is good. But there is nothing to do!! Except for spend REAL money on VIRTUAL things, like clothes?? HAHA!! I couldn't believe it. There is heaps of things to buy in second life, but what amazed me was how little difference these things made to your experience? I mean, I could buy a plane. For like $5 REAL DOLLARS. But why fly a plane, when you as a person can also fly in this game? It just made NO SENSE to me. I just ended up gambling! Has anyone had an experience on second life?

I signed up for it a long time ago and only ended up using it once. I was really suprised that you had to spend real money on virtual things like you said. I thought that was kind of silly. I couldn't find anything to do on there and I ended up not using it. I have another virtual site now, its not really a game but more of an instant messenger, but at least there you can earn points (some people buy) but I use the free and earned points to buy things. I agree with you about Second Life, I definatly couldn't understand it. Have a great night!

Which virtual site are you on now? Is it more of a game, or the same sort of thing. I think second Lifes' aim was to make another world that people view as the same as the real one. I know they are aiming to have virtual Uni lectures and virtual AA meetings ect. I think they are just aiming for something that will never happen. I mean, I like the real world, I don't want to replace it with bad graphics and glitches!! haha.. Second life is like WoW, or and other MMORPG, but without the actual game. LoL!

I'm on IMVU now. It's pretty fun, it's an Instant Messenger and Chat Room site. It's generally the same type of idea as Second Life. You have a virtual "you" and can have your own rooms, car, pets and other things. If you sign up they give you credits to use towards virtaul things and they have a Free Spin game where you can win credits instead of buying them, you also get credits if you refer your friends. I like it so far!

Cool, I might check it out. So it's more of a messenger thing huh? Is there any sort of game to it, or is it just to chat? I personally think one of these days, one of these sites will strike gold when half the world adopts their 'virtual world'. It would work well, if all the people were in the same 'virtual world'. Whether they are playing a game, chatting, learning etc. It could all work pretty well I think. Kind of what second Life tried to do, but much more friendly to people who aren't an expert at scripting. Second Life seemed to be aimed at CPU people, and I bet heaps of them are making money through second life, but I'd say not much, and I not for long!

At first I thought Second Life sounded really cool. I mean it is a cool idea, but need to do much more with it. They should have jobs, games, and ways to earn credits without spending your own money. If they need income for the program then they should charge something to use it, and then make it really worth people's while. The only time I used it was actually to have a virtual meeting. It worked out pretty well, but there are some glitches in the system I didn't like. It seemed like it had a hard time holding a lot of people in one spot.
