Do you think marijuana should be legal?

Do you think that marijuana should be legalized? Even though I do not indulge in this activity I do believe it should be legal. I am not gone to say that I have never tried it because it was pretty much a regular activity for me and my group of friends when I was younger. I think it is only illegal because the government has not figured out how to manufacture it and profit from it. Yet cigarettes are legal. You can go into any store and pick yourself up a pack of cigarettes just as long as you a older than 18. And the government taxes them like crazy. What are your own thoughts on the legalization of marijuana

Personally I think it should be, I have friends who smoke it and I know they are far nicer to be with than those that drink too much, plus it does have good medicinal results and lets face it if they legalize that it would leave a lot more police power for the dangerous stuff....
