Are married names coming back in fashion?

It looks like ages ago when women automatically took on their husband's last name after marriage. Back then also there were a few who dared to be different. Than came the time when many retained their maiden names. A couple of years back came the craze of hyphenated both names, maiden followed by married or vice versa. These days though i notice married names are again coming back in fashion it seems ! Many of my friends proudly and promptly change their last names soon after getting married and are quite happy about it too !

I guess I am odd because I decided not keep my last name. My husband is international, so his last name doesn't really sound good with my first name. That's probably a lame excuse, LoL, but it doesn't sound right hyphenated either. I think hyphenated last names are a good idea, but sometimes, it can make the name extra long and cumbersome. Whether a woman decides to be traditional and take her husband's last name is purely a preference.
