What gear are you using?

What cameras/lenses do you currently have? I've got a Nikon D40 and 3 lenses. The kit lens(18-55mm), a 50mm prime and a 55-200 zoom.

I was given the Nikon D40 for Christmas this past year. I also have the kit lens and 55-200. My s/o was a good Santa lol. He also gave me a high def printer that is excellent. I want to also add a macro-zoom to my gear bag. He did do his 'homework' before choosing that particular camera, talking to guys that use it on practically a daily basis for investigation. He also had the battery charged and camera ready for me to use as soon as I unwrapped it lol. I will also be adding an extra battery to the gear bag, even though the battery holds a very long charge. And I keep an extra SD card, I have only filled a card once, and they are each 2G.

haha. you mustve been very good last year. how you finding the camera? i love it. yeah i definitely want to get more lenses. i was thinking of a fast wide zoom. do you find that the 55-200 has a bit of problem autofocusing sometimes though? and yeah haha the only time i finished the battery was on the first day i got it. usually on an outing i take about 300-400 shots and the battery doesnt even go down by 1 bar. this is mostly without flash, mind you.

I love the camera, it takes really amazing pictures, and the action shots can't be beat. I havn't had any problems with the lens on auto.

Hi! Currently we have a Nikon D80 with the kit lens (18-135mm) and a 24-70mm f2.8 Sigma lens. Recently my father bought a SB-600 which really helped a lot in lighting! What we are wanting to buy right now is a 70-200mm VR lens but it really costs a lot so I think it will be while before we will be able to buy it. Because in our country, the 70-200mm VR lens costs about 90k Peso. I would also love to buy a 14-24mm f2.8 lens and a 105mm prime lens. Man I can't wait for the money to arrive!
