Has anyone seen any of the fan edits of the original Star Wars that are floating around on the internet? I downloaded one a few weeks back and have to say I was very impressed.
There were some new special effects scenes, which although composited from a mix of other scenes, were still far more suited to the film than some of the SE shots. The fight with tie fighters after excaping the death star, and the final battle over Yavin (you actually see Yavin in the battle now!) were tremendous.
I think it was Adywan who produced the one I saw, although I could be mistaken

I am not fond of many of the edited versions that fans do to the series.
I am fond of those fan films that they make into to the Star Wars genre.
There is an Italian Jedi-era movie, looks pretty big budget, called Star Wars Resurrection.

I can honestly say that I have not seen the fan edits of the original Star Wars movies floating around on the internet, but I would love to find the one you downloaded and download it myself, because I love the Star Wars movies, and it sounds like they did lot of good work on it,and it sounds like it is very exciting, and that anyone who loves the Star Wars movies should see it.
