hi everyone, just want ask if any of you tried montelukast for asthma? both my son is asthmatic. the eldest started using flixotide to cure his allergic rhinitis, but the allergies is still there though it lessened. now, his pedia pulmo advised him to take seretide and montelukast for his asthma. has any of you tried montelukast? i know seretide is good for asthma as my husband is using it for maintenance as well. my second son was also asthmatic and was also diagnosed with kochs. he completed his first of his anti kochs med and his showing progress. wish he wouldn't have attacks now.

I have been taking Singulair (Montelukast) for about 6 months now. I have noticed a real difference in my breathing. It has really helped. I have been using my rescue inhaler a lot less frequently. I take it at night because it might cause sleepiness in some people. I have also noticed that I sneeze much less too. It is a definite improvement over being short of breath all the time!
