Here in the Philippines, I see a lot of people using cellphone even on the busy streets; texting, calling and listening music. For me, there's nothing wrong with using cellphone anywhere, except of course in a classroom or church where it is not allowed. In these hard times, there are a lot of cellphone grabbers on the streets. Everyday I hear news on television where cellphones were grabbed by guys riding in motorcycles and even by guys who just bump people. They get to sell those cellphones they grabbed to other people. My God, is life really that hard these days? This is their way of getting money for their family. It's so sad its really happening. Before, I get to use my cellphone even when I am walking on the streets, but now I'm afraid I can't anymore. A cellphone is very important to me, its a necessity and I want to take care of it. How about you, would you still dare to use your cellphone on a busy street?

Hi there djoyce71!
I never use my cellphone on the streets. I do not text nor use my cellphone for calling while walking the street. I am afraid that there are people out there waiting to grab my phone. If I need to take a call, I would stop somewhere that I believe that would be safe. For instance, a restaurant or any establishment where I can stop for a while to answer my phone. That goes true with texting and making a call.

It is really not advisable to use cellphone on the streets here in the philippines. There are alot of cellphone grabber out there and even if your phone is in your pocket or bag, they have their ways on getting it.
