when you are idle at work..

I must admit, I don't always have work at the office. Sometimes I go nuts thinking on what to do at my table. I usually just check on the usual sites where I have an account (multiply, yahoo mail, facebook etc). But after that I just stare at my monitor and pretend that I am working.
How about you, what do you usually do when you are idle at work?

When idle at work, I normally go out of the office and look for some people that I can talk to. It is so unfortunate that I can't use my idle time to go online as the computers in the office are always busy. Moreover, we do not have wi-fi access so I can't go online using my laptop. Or, I would grab a book and read.

oooh I sometimes do that too. I ask some of my officemates to have a coffee break in the pantry or go down and buy something in the convenience store. Just do something to pass time.
I don't think I can last without the internet though. I practically just surf when there's no work. I really am fortunate that my company is not that strict.

I really really wanted to be addicted to reading books, but it is just not me. I remember my cousin lend me some fiction books for 2 months (I think, or more), and when I returned it to her, I haven't even finished reading even one book. I think I doze off when I start reading the books. I envy you that you can do that. That would probably help a lot when I'm idle in the office. If only I can stay awake though.
