Morning all fellow myLotters,
I need a big favor from all of the myLot community. I have a very very dear friend who evidently experienced a stroke or bleed in the brain. Test results are not complete just yet. This happened Saturday night. I did visit her twice yesterday for short periods since she's in ICU and have to make visits brief. Am leaving shortly again to go visit and see if there is any improvement today. She's 5 years younger than I am and it just breaks my heart to see a vibrant, fun loving lady just lay in bed and do virtually nothing but talk a little bit. She can't seem to retrieve everyday words which tears me apart. She has a family and has just recently become a grandma for the first time.
I am at my wits end and need any prayers for Joyce. She's a big part of my life.
Thanks so much in advance,
carolbee

i said a prayer for her. maybe my experience w/this will make you feel more hopeful. in 2000 i has a brain aneurysm. they didn't expect me to live, said most people that had them didn't even make it to the hospital & if they did live it was usually in a vegataive state.well, i made it, went back to work & worked 5 more years till i has a stroke. i'm doing o.k. not like i use to be but am able to live alone. hope this encourages you & your friend. hope she gets better.

Thank you so much for the prayer. It means alot to me and her, as well. Am so sorry to hear you experienced the same problem. So glad to hear you are ok. I will in turn say a prayer for you. I had a major head injury 7 yrs. ago and am 100% except I did lose my sense of taste and smell. The alternative would have been a disaster. I am so thankful to be alive and well. Thanks so much for responding.

I'm so sorry to hear about your friend, Joyce. I know a little bit about how hard it is to see a friend in such a horrible condition. But prayer will definitely help. She's being prayed for right now. You're a good friend, Carolbee. Stay peaceful, as best you can anyhow.

Thanks, gtargirl. My friend, Joyce, is very special and my heart breaks for her but in time she should recover. I will be there for her whatever she may need during her time of recovery and beyond. Thanks so much for your kind words and responding to my discussion.

Let's believe and trust the Lord that she is going to be healed. The bible says by the stripes of Jesus Christ we were healed (Isaiah 53 v 1-6). All things are possible to them that believe. Jesus is able Mtt 9 v 34-36. Father in the name of Jesus we pray for the complete and total restoration of the health of Joyce, make her complete and whole in the body, soul and spirit in the name of Jesus. AMEN!

OMG, Joyce is added immediately to my prayer list.
sometimes the brain swelling shrinks
and the patient returns to "normal".
it might have been a very slight stroke.
i pray this is the problem.
it is heart-wrenching to see changes in our special friends.
i will pray for you too, carol.
this is awful to see and experience
for you as well.

My prayers are with you. I understand all about this experience. I have just brought my grand-uncle to the hospital last Sunday because of the same thing but his was a massive one. He expired today, Tuesday at 11:30 am. (PST)
I pray that your friend will do recover and be that same vibrant lady that you always know...
