In the following article the author makes a real good case for the belief that Obama is not only arrogant but in his own words audacious! The entire political publicity circus which was Obama's overseas campaign tour leave a real bad taste in many American's mouth! The audacity to act as if he actually already IS the president PROVES he is arrogant beyond comprehension! Have a read:

Oh yeah, that's an unbiased source, all right.
Also, do you even know what the hell "audacious" means? Take a look at the quick definitions on the right here: http://www.onelook.com/?w=audacious
And how DARE he travel overseas? I mean, McCain only GOADED him into it because he was complaining about how Obama is wrong on all national security matters because he hadn't been overseas lately. So, in response, Obama goes ahead and travels overseas, and now McCain and people like you are complaining that he's "act[ing] as if he actually already IS the president"? Are you serious? Damned if he does, damned if he doesn't, neocons will always find something to whine about.
Just face the fact that Obama made a huge impact during his trip, including pulling in a crowd of 200,000 in Germany, while McCain spoke in front of a dozen people in a supermarket, standing in front of cheese (there's unintentional humor if I ever saw it).

ClarusVisum,
Actually I perfer the dictionary MOST people use which is the Merriam-Webster. In this definition of Audacity it even uses the derivitive Audacious. Arrogant is the key word in this definition!

If you were paying attention, you would see that onelook.com searches DOZENS of dictionaries, including M-W (it was #3 in the link I gave you, though I'm sure you didn't look).
Of course, the fact that you're going to just take the definition that sounds the worst and pin it to Obama just smacks of desperation. Is this really what you've been reduced to?

ClarusVisum,
Just because I don't subscribe to your "new world" editions of the dictionary doesn't mean the "old school" dictionary is wrong in its definition. Merriam-Webster chooses not to candy coat their defs and yours (which I did go to and read by the way)does!

Obama may be the first Presidential candidate whose campaign peaked before he even gets the nomination. At the current rate at which Obama's popularity is slipping, Hillary might get the nomination yet as super delegates switch their votes. This would be too bad as Obama is probably easier to defeat than Hillary.

It could happen! It would be a truely good news - bad news situation. Good to have the dems so divided, bad that Hillary would be hard for McCain to beat.

Redyellowblackdog,
I am sure that quite a few of these "stupid-delegates" are holding their heads in their hands right now in disgust because of the political circus held by Obama in Europe! It would not surprise me to see a mass reversal of support next month in Denver!

Ummm...latest polls, according to CNN.com, have Obama's popularity over McCain increasing. Hillary has already bowed out. That switch would never happen.

Now come on Rodney you know you cannot trust anything that came from a website that was created by the late William F. Buckley Jr. The only website you can trust is Obama.com. Even though this sit is completely bias I will still respond.
I would like for one person that is going to vote for Obama name one presidential candidate that campaigned in another country. I cannot, but maybe Obama believe he is already the President and the election is just a formality. Obama might think he is a citizen of the world but last time I checked the world will not be voting in this election. I am not a citizen of the world and do not want a President that thinks he is. Some need to tell Obama that no one, except for a few that would vote for a yellow dog if it was a Democrat, that no one has been waiting for him.
Just because a bunch of Europeans like you does not mean we like you. Let us remember that the same country that Obama was in Thursday elected Adolf Hitler over 70 years ago. Not exactly a track record to hang your hat on.

Let us not forget Hitler was also charismatic, a clever, glib talker and drew large crowds.

I too will not be signing up, thank you very much. I am hoping for a leader not a well rehearsed young whippersnapper who needs rock bands to draw his crowds.

Thank you Ladyluna. I know "whippersnapper" is an old fashioned word and I don't think I have ever used it before but somehow it popped into my head when I was thinking about Obama's arrogance.

Whiteheather,
Amen to that! I'm also thinking his publicity stunt of taking his acceptance speech(funny, I didn't know he was nominated yet)to Bronco's stadium so he can bask in the worship of 72,000 instead of just a paltry 21 thousand is a little audacious if not arrogant! Sure would be funny if what happens a lot in late August in Denver happens that night, rain!

Snobama has some testicular fortitude doesn't he? He can act like whatever he wants, but it will be the working class voters who will act on their own behalf. He thinks by going to another country and trashing America he is immune to the critism by the people he wants to represent. Let a foreign national come over here and do that, diplomatic immunity won't be enough to save him. Plus, B.O. thinks he's playing to the elite crowd, problem is, those dems make money just like the Repulicans do. If he doesn't support a capitalistic society he should give everything away and start on welfare, that would be a true candidate of his stature.

I too think that I am God's gift to the world, not just America. Don't you? Just out of curiosity what is wrong with being arrogant or audacious? I can think of a lot worse attributes to have, whether you are running for president or not.
Most successful people have some level of arrogance and audaciousness about them and people of a less motivated mindset have a hard time dealing with this. Thus them being where they are in life.
No matter what I do, I "assume" the role whole heartedly. To dream it, is to live it!
What I don't understand is in this country we have the right to express our opinions thru voting. If you are not a fan of Obama's, thats fine. Use your energy to support whoever it is that you like. It's America, you can do that.

Relundad,
Yes, and I can also use my freedom to try to warn anyone who still has their reasoning left and is not mesmerized by this empty suit which is Barack Obama away from voting for him. I have made this my purpose in life for this election season! Not that McCain is perfect but he is so much better suited for the job than Obama it isn't even funny!

I guess it takes one to know one! The only difference is....I'm not running for president and I'm most assuredly not saying I am what everybody has waited for!!

Rodney, you are already biased from the first line of your post! What is politics? How would you behave if you were running for the highest office in the world-present himself as some old naive human being whose intelligence to lead? Obama is campaigning and in politics, its about selling himself-you dont have to consider that as being arrogant-to me here is being politically audacious which is inorder! Besides, all leaders come from God!

Acedemic,
YES! I'm biased, and so are you! As for how I would run my campaign if I were running for president I don't have much of a clue but I will tell you what I would NOT do; seek approval of the world community before I was even nominated much less elected president!

I would say that he pretty well nailed it.
Now if only the rest of the country can see Obama for the blustering fool that he really is.

I thought it was rather pompous of him and it certainly doesn't make me want to vote for him.
