Comments on photos added but no responses to discussion

I have been geting comments added to many of my photos by friends. A lot ask a question. One can not answer or add a comment to their own photos in discussions. But these friends do not respond to the discussions. So I can not answer them unless I send a P.M. as I can't add a comment to my own photos. I won't answer these via P.M.'s as they did not ask via PM. Do you have this occuring from friends in your photos/discussions? it can be frustrating at times as I really want to answet their questions and others would also like to see their question in the discussion etc.

Hi GB!
I'm guilty of commenting on some of your photo's, but not responding to the discussion.
I dont ask questions though.
I look into all of your discussions, i only dont respond to the ones: that more than one person has said what i would have said, i dont want it to seem as if i'm echoing someone elses response.
I'm very intrested in all of my friends post, and even if i dont participate in the discussion, i always rate them, just trying to do right by my friends.

I am not singleing members out. Just bringing up an interesting thing that occurs. We get paid for responding as well so I think they would prefrer to respond as well as adding a comment in the photo.

My bad!
I will dig into my vocabulary and come up with a response in future discussions lol.
I by no means think i was being singled out, just acknowlegeing my part in this action.
Thanks for pointing this out,i will do my part in contrbuting.
After all i dont post much, and the posts of others is what keeps me active here.
It's nice when others point out things that i may be a little ignorant about.. good looking out.

I reply to discussions but I find it hard to start one. If it is a bit controversial and even if it is not, it soon turns into controversial and I get the idea that maybe I should just say you are always right, I am always wrong. I do not write comments on photos. I prefer discussions and I am at a loss as to how to reply when someone shows a photo other than, how cute!

That is a bummer. I do not post enough pictures to have that happen. I wonder why they are not being part of the discussion as well. I always do both. I guess you could start a new discussion for each question. If they really want to know, they will get to the discussion. I have not done this, have I? I get flustered, but would not do it intentionally.

guilty as charged. I do think that sometimes I might put a question on a photo of yours but really don't expect answers....does that make sense? There are times when I don't have any input towards the discussion and don't want to just put a one liner there. I will try to watch myself from now on. I will sit here in the corner for awhile.

I would like to answer those posted questions but can't add a comment in my own photos. Plus I can't be my own friend here? Huh? HAHAHAHA! Thanks bunches.

Maybe bringing this up publicly will do the trick. I'm the opposite, I often reply to discussions but don't get to see the photos because of time. Since I work with my friends by email, the photos don't show up and if I don't have time to search their profiles for the photos I can't comment on them or see them. Sometimes I'll go back when I have time and enjoy the photos, though.

I hope this helps somewhat. It is just that when they ask a question I feel they could ask that as a respo0nse then get paid for that response as well. Oh well their loss not mine I reckon.

I believe that I have done this one recently, or rather I responded to your discussion but did not add the question, but had on the photo that I had commented on prior to responding to your discussion. I try not do that because as the asker, I want to know the answer! I hope that this will bring people to ask more on your discussion then on your photos!

Thanks bunches. This is what I mean. And I can't answer it in the discussion if they don't respond because it looks silly adding it to another response that has no idea what it means.

exactly and added the answer to one of their own discussions might look even sillier as sure you'd answer what they'd put but other responders would be quite confused.

Sometime after comment at the photo, my connection is so slow, and to go back at the discussion takes 10 minutes. only to punch back button by my mozilla firefox. So sometimes i forget to go back at the real discussion. I should respond first and then comment to the discussion, it will be easy not punching the back button, but i am looking forward to see your picture, GB.
Happy posting !! oxox'dian

Since I hardly post photos, I have not come across this particular problem. But, I can understand the frustration of not being able to respond to a particular comment. :)
Cheers and happy mylotting

HI GRANDPA BOB! Yes, that could be kinda frustrating on your part because you are such an accommodating person. However with this discussion, those who have posted their questions on the photo comment section will know now where to post their questions and that is to ask them through a response through discussions and not on the comments on the photos. haha..I hope it will be properly addressed after this.
Take care always..God Bless!

Yeah I guess this is why it bothers me. it is the fact I would like to answer the wuestions but can't via the photo itself. And I can't add myself as a friend? Too funny.

hi Grandpa Bob I never skip answering your discussions after
'I have commented on your photos as I feel that is rude. But
I have seen others that just comment on the photos and pass on by the discussion.this does seem rude to me.wish I had a camera
so I could add some photos but money is pretty tight right
now for me.As for me I had one discussion that never got one
response but I checked lately and it has three responses. and it was a rather old one too.

Yea, that stinks that we can't respond to our own photos.
It also stinks that we can't comment on a photo if the person who uploaded it is not our friend.

Yeah there's been some great photos I've found in the interest groups that I wanted to add a comment but can't as not friends. But I also supect a lot care less if anyone comments as they never go back to check the photos. I check my photos a lot to see comments. It makes me feel great knowing others are enjoying my photos.

How odd that they would do that!
Usually when I comment on a photo, I feel
compelled to comment on the attached discussion
if only to restate my photo comment and get a chance
to chat with the person who posted it.

Hey BOB
thats not fair
be a bit gentle as u r, and reply by PM atlast once
just kidding, u r right about that and to PM every one is niot that easy but quite time taking job, i am sure after this post (All Friends)they will leave cooments on pic and ask question in discussion, Happy, Now Smile.
Well i dont attach so much picture, mostly either its U ot Hiicup attaching photo to 80% of their discussion. so u might end up with more comments and questions
Take care

I find EVERYTHING to do with photos frustrating!! I rarely post them though, so I've not come across that particular issue before. My big bugbear as a responder is not being able to get from posting a comment on a photo back to the discussion itself easily. Perhaps this is why you have friends that don't bother? It's just another of those stupid little glitches that make life more difficult and take extra time to get around.
