Are there any real Corporations out there that hire freelancers?

Looking for real corporation companies that hire freelancers for temporary projects, data entry, editing, etc. Thanks everyone!

When I was seeking REAL freelance work, I subscribed to some writer's newsletters - like Writer's Weekly - and looked there. Or joined some real writer's sites. I also purchased writing magazines at my local book store, plus checked out Writer's Market at my local library.

Do you have the names of any other specific sites? That would be great! It's better to know what people have already had success using (in my opinion anyway)

I am interested also to know if there are any real corporations that hire people to do at home what is normally done in an office. I would love to be able to make a true living and be at home with my kids. With the price of gasoline, it would save me so much money to be able to work at home and pay my bills.
