Has your child ever really surprised you with their reaction?

At the weekend me and my partner took our girls 4 and 2 to the park its a really beautiful one lots of open grass space and also a huge pond we fed the ducks and then walked up to the specially built animal enclouser. There was a large goose behind a fence that kept sticking its head out I warned both girls to be careful but the toddler went straight up to it and shoved her face straght in front of the goose. Before I could grab her it pecked her face well I shot forward expecting huge amounts of tears until I realised that she was actually laughing and she couldnt stop!!! She stood there saying hello ducky come here do it again!! It really shocked me even id have had a bit of a moan about a goose pecking me lol
SO has your child ever done the complete opposite to what you think (apart from when you say no and they do it anyway lol) xxx

Awww, how sweet.. I am often surprised by my child's reaction as she grows. In the past, if we'd go out and there were other kids playing, she'd avoid going near them and stick by me and she grew, she'd run and play with them but often return.
Now, she enjoys playing with other kids so much that she'll go up to them and introduce herself! My name is... It's such a pleasure to see as she's only 4.

Wow... that must of be something. Getting pecked, and your daughter laughing and then saying come hear ducky. I think this is one for the record books for sure. You need to write it down somewhere to let her see it as she gets older. Either she will be embarrased or be in awe I am sure.

surprised? no. laugh... yes a lot. my children are funny in their own way so sometimes their reaction on somethings are really funny than expected. so sometimes when we are all serious then someone from my children will react everybody will laugh because the reactions are really funny. my children are all teens now and when i have problems i always talk it to them. they help me a lot on figuring out things

Kids say and do the darndest things! I have been amazed several times by the things that my child does and says. I have a 17 year old that is very straightforward and she will say things that embarrass me and yet I am glad that she is outspoken and not worried about the people around her. I think that it is good for her to be that way.
I am thankful that your daughter wasn't hurt and that she thought that it was funny! Most kids would have cried!

Yes, my daughter is very animated and she always has funny or unexpected reactions. I am prego and the baby is starting to move a lot. My daughter is 2 1/2 and I told her to watch my belly. Once she saw the baby kick she screamed and then started laughing saying silly boy. It was really cute.

Our girls would have screamed the park to pieces! lol. Geese can be rather nasty creatures sometimes, and I have certainly had my fair share of goose peckings in the past, usually my feet though.
When we go out, I usually expect our girls to misbehave and make it a miserable experience for me. The last time I went out with them, they were so well behaved and I had a really good time. I don't get out very much, my partner does the food shopping, so I was very surprised at how well they behaved for me, and might even risk going out again very soon!

funny,,,she is tickled by the goose..hehehe! really kids today learn things we never even teach them and would make us just stop and look at them like silly as if saying what did that kid say again????hehehe!even my nephew is like that...we really never know a kids reaction and where they get it from. maybe by watching TV, they pick up everything and use them even if they don't know what it is about...hehehe!

Jus today I had to go into my boys (3 and 2) and get my youngest to change him. They were both sitting in one bed playing with a balloon, and when i proceeded to pick up my youngest my oldest screamed DONT TAKE MY BEST FRIEND!!!!!... it was the sweetest thing ever, however it took about 5 minutes to calm him down and let him know and understand that his brother would be right back... now for the rest of the day hes been following him around and periodically hugging him and saying momy..mommy...MOMMY this is my best friend!!!!!!
