Short Story Ideas

So everyone my creativity for dreaming up topics to write a short story about is in very short demand. Do you have any ideas for a short story or would like to read a short story about something in specific?? I would love to hear them.

Hi! Welcome to myLot. Hmm, Im guessing from your other discussions that you're a freelance writer..?^_^ Anyways, there are lots of topics for short stories that I would want to read. Especially now that Im hard pressed for time. I love to read but no time to read novels and things so short stories are my best route.
Im a reader so I read almost anything and thats from cover to cover. But since you're looking for topics, I would suggest that you just look around you. Maybe theres a funny incident about the mailman and the neighbors dog. Or maybe you could just write about your daily experience with your kids. That would be something that Im interested in actually. Kids are just so fun and there's never a dull moment when Im around them.

With all the various interests here in MyLot, one only has to look around at all the interests offered here for discussion and just pick one! Look around at the discussion that seem to have a lot of responses. That indicates popularity and thus a good subject to write about.
I tend to stick with stuff I enjoy which is short stories of fantasy. Here is my latest story, if you are interested.

Write what you enjoy. It doesn't matter how popular a certain topic is, if it isn't something you care about. If you force the story, it will show; I know this from experience.
