I was thinking the other day that I have not been out dancing in a while! We went out with a pal I had not seen in a while and I just wanted a nice quiet place that we could talk with nice music in the background and without having to shout to be heard and ended up at a lovely Lebanese/Moroccan restaurant and bar instead of the clubbing scene we used to do. This may well be a sign of aging.. so I have resolved to go out dancing one of these days and soon!
Do you still go out dancing or clubbing? Did you used to go out dancing while you were younger but don't anymore?
Do you feel quite shy and have never ventured into clubs or tried to dance in public? Do you think it's just something that young people do? Do you think you're getting too old to go out dancing?

I don't think so that just because you're not younger then you should be shy going out to clubs. If you enjoy it then why not. My officemates are older than I am but still they would hang out with us young ones. They are married and have kids and not just men but my female officemates too. Once, I took my mom with me in the club with my friends, she did enjoyed though she didn't dance.
Sign of aging, shyness or whatever it is, that shouldn't stop us from enjoying the things we want to do.

That's true, being shy and aging should not stop us from enjoying ourselves, even on the dance floor. I will take my mum dancing one of these days

I think that will be cool! Who knows, you're mum might appreciate that you bought her in one of your night-outs! Cheers!

Well I am 56 years old, and I do still go out and dance at the clubs from time to time, not as much as I used to, but on occasion I still do. I really do not think that I will ever get too old for this. I love music so very much. I always have such a great time when I do go out.

I'd like to think that I will still be going out dancing when I am older, my mum who is about the same age thinks it's all too young for her Actually, I think I will take her dancing one day!

Sunkissed, that's fantastic! At 56 you're unstoppable! And I admire you for that! And it's good to hear that you enjoy every time you go out. I wish have that energy at all times! LOL!

My husband and I haven't been out dancing in a while, although there is this really nice Cajun/Jazz restaurant that we go to. The food and drinks are fabulous and they have a live jazz band. That's not really a dance club, but it's good enough for me. I guess that's my sign of aging..lol

haha I tend to prefer chilled out places now too rather than the loud booming music
