It's really a pain in the butt when you want to use the computers and your kids are always using the internet? does anyone out there have similiar problems?

Well, since they're your kids, I suppose you could always tell them to get off. :) Unless, of course, they're doing something particularly urgent on the computer... In our house, we have multiple computers, so there isn't really any competition over who gets to use it. Although, there is some competition about who gets to use the fastest computer (the quad-core), but my dad usually hogs that. The rest of us spread out over the (relatively slow) laptops lying around the house. I remember when we had dial-up--that was quite the pain, as calls were impossible whenever anyone wanted to access the internet.

Only when my s/o's 14 year old daugher is here with us. And then I don't have the problem, he does lol. She is on his desktop computer from about 2 minutes after she walks in the door until she leaves, well she does sleep a little lol. I have my own laptop which she is not aloud to use. So I don't have that problem. However, if she was living with us all the time, it still wouldn't be a problem as I have another desktop computer that I could hook up for her to use, and then he would still have his to use.
