I would trust my husband because not only is he my best friend but if he were to go see my old best friend, regardless of whether she wanted to get into his pants, I know that he would not allow it as he loathes her.

It really depends. Has the husband been friends with this girl for a long time? If so, there's no reason he shouldn't be allowed to hang with her - unless your friend really does not trust her husband. I can certainly understand the reluctance to let him go alone, but if she doesn't allow it, it will really seem like she doesn't trust him. However, before he goes, they should have a long talk about how his friendship with this girl makes her feel, and how she does trust her husband, but does not trust this other girl. Now, if the husband and this girl haven't been friends for a long time, I'd say your friend needs to have a whole different conversation with her husband about why he's suddenly striking up a friendship with her.

I would tell my husband that there no way in H*ll that he is going to see some woman. If it ain't his mama, it's not happening. And as far as that " if you trust me crap" that is a setup to try and make your friend feel bad. I hope that she is able to see what is going on and she doesn't let him pull that mess over on her.
