I was wondering if more people think like I do that it a sad state of affairs that the only two canidates we can come up with for President , considering all the education people in our counrty, are McCain on Obama. I think Obama had no business speaking out in Berlin. We haven't elected him yet!! What makes him think we want him and his big mouth to represent America before we elect him? The more he opens his mouth and constantly changes his stories and policies I hope people see how he would be a poor leader. I think McCain is to old and also not much better. As much as I am looking forward to seeing President Bush finish his term I can't say I'm looking forward to the new Commander and Chief. Another question I ponder is would Hillary Clinton have done better in the primary if she had divorced Bill and ran as a divorced woman. She always answered question while Obama skirts issues. I think most people may like her and realize she is a smart lady but we the American public don't want Bill in the White House to embrass the USA again because he can't keep it in this pant and proves it continually in the news. I think she shot herself in the foot politically when she didn't send him packing.

I agree that both candidates are not much to talk about. But, I believe you must vote the issues and not the party. This country was founded as a republic, which simply means that the people, the citizens, rule the country thru the government officials they elect. The government was formed with the purpose of overseeing and passing the laws of the country. It was formed with the purpose of providing for the country's defense and for printing and minting new money and other purposes such as these. It was not formed for the purpose of being the nanny of the people. The government is supposed to protect the freedoms of the American people not take them away. Whether you like Bush or not, he did give everyone tax cuts. Now you may argue that the cuts were not equal across the board and that the rich got a bigger tax cut. I don't know if that's the case or not because I haven't researched it. But, keep one thing in mind. The rich are paying way more in taxes than the middle class because they are in a higher tax bracket. Now, consider this. What do the democrats propose? Income redistribution. In other words they want to raise taxes on the rich and basically give the middle class a break with the idea that the wealth is more evenly distributed. Okay? Say you're rich and you've earned you wealth fair and square. Now I know there are those who have lied and cheated their way to wealth and I personally don't think that's right. But, you on the other hand have earned your wealth, thru hard work and education, and smart investments. Now, think for a moment. How would you like it if the government decided that they were going to take a huge percentage of what you've earned, a percentage far and above what you already pay in taxes, just so everybody else can have a fair shake. Now I agree there are some people, who, because of dire circumstances beyond their control, may need some federal assistance. But there are many more who don't have much financially simply becasue they are to lazy to get off their butts and work for it. And the federal government is not going to differentiate between the two. They'll just dish out the wealth to anyone and everyone. The whole idea of income redistribution is socialism. And after socialism comes communism. That's what the democrats, including Obama, are for. I don't know about you but I value my freedoms, and in my opinion, although I'm not too impressed with McCain, I believe he's going to be more respectful and protective of those freedoms than Obama will be. I believe McCain is the lesser of two evils.
