what i mean is that....
we choose the punishment for the people who beat us up...
or something...
so it is more of like....
you hurt me, now it is time i hurt you...
what do you think?
do you think it is a good idea?
i kinda think so...
i mean...
should'nt a victim choose what the punishment should be?
then, maybe, at last they will be able to have peace...

well....
i understand that to err is human...
but what if you have been abused over and over again...
so maybe the person knows
and that is why he is doing it...
since you are "under his control"
so i think that....
maybe, it is wrong to think that way....

this is an interesting topic here..
:)
in my opinion, i believe that people have different expression whenever reacting to certain kinds of situations...
so if a person is very much affected by the course of event, she/he would impose a hasher punishment onto the crimer..
the person would not be doing justice to herself but rather, being blinded by revenge, she would give the crimer an 'eat dirt' kind of a payback..
revenge is sweet, but for the sake of justice, only an outsider( a third person) can do the judging..
that's why people hate lawyers so much..

No I don't think we should have that power each and everyone of us Raclie. I think we would tend to make the punishment a retaliation, revenge instead of letting the punishment fit the crime at a fair hearing.

Although to seek vengence like this would not only be sweet revenge but also legal, does not make it right. I feel that those who would do this would only be hurting themselves as they may very well feel sorry for seeking the vengence that they may very well deserve.

actually i think this is a recipe for disaster because some people are not very forgiving and the punishment that they might give to the people who hurt them may be a punishment that the person did not deserve. for example: if your someone steals alot of money from you and steals your identity, you may feel like this person deserves to die because of all the pain heartache and financial trouble this person has put you through and in the heat of the moment this may be the punishment that you dish out. however this person does not deserve a punishment as severe as that and then there will be alot of protest from the person's family. this would just cause confusion. also children are not suitable for giving out punishment because they are too young to know right from wrong. an eye for an eye isn't always the answer. most of the time it brings more confusion than resolution. so i don't think it would be good if each of us got to choose the punishment for people's crime against us.

i think if someone did a very terrible sin on me that has something to do with physical abuse, i would pinch every inch of his/her body with a pin then hang him on a tree full of poisonous scorpion. quite sadistic huh..lol

Ahh, you mean like revenge, only with a twist of lime. In other words revenge but with a harsher punishment. It would be interesting if we could choose the punishment for the crime commited against us, or someone we know or love. Although if that were the case, then we'd all be after one another, and we'd all wonder when payback time was. But, it's still a pretty interesting question to ask. There is this show, it's a court show, but it's really unique. See, the judge allows people to get back at one another. Sometimes he allows the defendent to say smash up the car of the other person that did them harm, or perhaps toilet paper the one who did harm's home. So on and so on. So maybe it could be possible for us to decide the punishment for the crime.
