Now a days what ever you want to read that's available om internet, Any book, any newspaper, any magazine and lots more are a just a click away. But i don't like to read newspaper and magazine on net as i cant keep track of where i am going, how to check my interested topic. If news paper is in my hand then i can easily read it. But i do search book or topic which i want to read. but usually i take printout of that and read. I can't keep my eye on computer for a long time. How about you? do you really like to read something on computer?

I read quite a bit of stuff online. I prefer reading newspapers and magazines online; I have access to a greater variety that way.
I think that my eyes have, for the most part, given up on protesting my inhumane number of hours spent in front of the computer.

I've tried reading books on the computer but that's just too much, too hard on the eyes. Anything lengthy, like more than a page or so, I like to have in print. On the other hand, I've read books on my Gameboy! I have a device that lets you read text files on it, and I've gotten text versions of books and read them on it, that doesn't bother me at all.

I like to read on internet. I read newspapers and other articles but when it comes reading books I do not find it too handy. My eyes get irritated and it takes ages to finish a long book. The true essence of reading goes in vain.

I prefer reading books when I do it for pleasure, entertainment or adding to my knowledge, but I also read a lot on the internet.
I don't have time for newspapers and I have little interest in looking at magazines but I will read selected news reports and interesting news items online.
I also read about many different topics when I'm rating articles and voting for reviews, which I do daily at Helium and at SharedReviews.
I often need to do some research for my own article writing, which means I'm reading and evaluating a lot of information I find in search results.
I also read discussion posts and responses every day at myLot.

YES I do read online,I read the paper online very often, its a good way to read it and its aslo a good way to catch up on back dated articles, maybe something that you may well have missed, but I never have read a book online,I seem to think that would be too complicated!but the whole idea of online reading is a very good concept.

the only thing I read online is the newspaper....BUT I'd much prefer to read it in my hands (the actual paper) however you can't buy them around here...the papers I read are from back home (Canada) and they arent available here in NY unfortunately so I'm stuck reading the online versions...As for books though I cant read those online..I like being comfortable when I'm getting into a book.

I always favor hard-copies that the soft-copies. Eye strain is not something that I can cope up with nowadays. I'm actually ok with reading discussion that would take around 200-300 words, and then I'll have enough time to close my eyes and begin reading again. Actually, I evaluate blog posts everyday, that's my day time job. So I have no choice but to read around 50-100 online contents everyday. Now that'll give me eye strain all right, and then I read a lot of mylot discussions as well, so it somewhat added to the strain. But I have no choice, my job is to be in the front of the computer for 8 hours.
However, when it comes to news, and novels, I would rather get comfy on my bed or on a sofa and read; that's why a hard-copy is very important for me.

yeah, I do love to read inspirational, romantic books.. and I find some good ones on the internet. if ever I am freaking bored here in the office, I will just search for some and there it is.. it was so convenient too, and you don't have to spend money for it.

I have to read lot of research paper on line, for it is convinent to make notes in microsoft word. it is much easier for me to type the word than to write with my pen. i also read some novels on line, since it is free. but i don't read on line for long time, it will do harm to my eyesight.

Many people have headaches from prolonged computer viewing. When I was working and had to set at the computer for 8 to 10 hours per day, my optometrist suggested that I add this special coating to my lenses to minimize eye strain. It worked. At that time I had no choice but to read everything from the computer screen. Now that I'm retired, I rarely spend more than a couple of hours at a time in front of the computer. If I do, I'm playing a game. I never try to read books on the computer. I'd rather read a paper book, preferably one that does not have slick paper. My husband has to have everything printed out for him, but I don't print much for him due to the price of the ink for our printer.
