It's great that you quit, don't go back! I am smoker for 34 years now. I quit for five months last year. It was the hardest thing I ever did and it was so bad I don't have the nerve to try again. It is a very bad and costly habit. Both of my parents smoked, my first example.

I dont know why people will even start smoking especially this day and age when you know what smoking will do to you and that most people that have start it wish they didnt. I dont understand kids in wanting to smoke. But I dont smoke and I will never smoke nor will I even try it. At my job pretty much everyone there smokes and its pretty disgusting to say the least.

Congratulations on giving up ... it is very hard to do so! I am an ex-smoker - I started when I was just sixteen because it was "cool", and have smoked most of my life. My motivation to stop was to set an example for my daughter - she copies everything I do, and was at the age where she was just becoming aware of my smoking. I really enjoyed having a smoke, and if I could still do it without the health risks and without the addiction, I would. However, I know I can never have one again or I'll have to go through the whole withdrawal process all over again. My advice to everyone is never, ever start, because once you do, you are always a smoker, no matter what.
