I just wanted to tell all about my partner i am so proud of him. Even tho he is disabled and in pain 24/7. He always goes out his way to help people.
For instant, we were getting in our car, ready to drive off the ferry when we went to Ireland on Thursday. The couple in the car next to us had a flat tire and you could tell it was a new car to them as they were not sure were everything was.
My partner jumped out of our car and went and helped them changed the wheel which they were very grateful for.
Even tho there was about 30 cars on the top deck not one other person offered to help.
Another time we were doing a car boot sale and my partner had gone to look at the other stalls he saw an old lady really struggling carrying a chest of drawers. Again there was lots of people about but not one ofered her a hand so he did.
My partner carried the chest of drawers to her car and helped her put them in the car. Again the old lady was very grateful and could not thank him enough.
He always tells me that he does it because that was the way he was brought up to always help people.
So resotre my faith in humamity and let me know what good deeds that you or someone you know have done lately.

What a wonderful man you have. :) It's nice to have a partner such as that, don't you think? My husband is disabled as well and is in pain 24/7, but he doesn't let that stop him either. He won't get on disablility because he figures if he can sit at a desk and do taxes or accounting, what's the point? He's always willing to help someone out, be it financially, physically (when he can), or just give some good advice. :) I am very lucky to have this man in my life. :)

He sounds like a good guy. When I hear things like this it does restore my faith in humanity. I'm always looking for good people with positive motives. Selfless things can make the world go around. Thanks for sharing this with us. That actually made my day a little brighter.

Hi littleone,
You are very lucky to have a man who has that caring, passionate and loving heart not only to the people around him but also to the people who needs help!
I am sure you will receive a lot of blessings in life for making others happy even with the simple act!

You have indeed found a wonderful man and you are right to be proud of him.
I will always try to help people if I can and I think it's so sad when others walk by or ignore someone who is in need of help.
A few days ago I saw a disabled man drop his walking stick in the street so I went to assist him as I could see he was having difficulty bending down to reach it. He seemed really surprised that I stopped to pick up his stick and hand it to him. I didn't want his gratitude, I could not just ignore him and it was no bother for me to do it.
Those people who don't lend a hand when it's needed may be in difficulties themselves one day and may need help from a stranger. It will be a bad day for them if everyone is as uncaring as they were.

that is really great thing that you have such a partner and he is also a very great person by what you have said because he is actually doing something to help people and he should be really proud of it since many people are quite self sufficient and still never turn up to help anyone.
some people will not get the credit for helping others sincerely as they are not popular enough ... but some people (like stars) get credit for almost doing nothing as they are very popular ... but actually people like your partner needs to be appreciated. .... cheers to him.

Thank you very much for that but he does it because it is just the way he is he does not ask for anything. He likes to help people.

You got a keeper there;) Yes, unfortunately people have become more selfish and rather go about their own business than help those who need it, even if the help could be so easily provided such as in the examples you provided. It's nice to know there are still 'knights in shining armor' out there.

Your partner is definitely a keeper. It always amazes me how surprised and grateful people are when a stranger stops to help.
Recently I broke my hip. While I was recovering, I often needed to go to the post office or grocery store alone. As I was still using a walker it was hard for me to get through the self closing doors. Would you believe I never had to try? Any time there was a door it was difficult for me to open and get through there was always someone there willing to hold the door for me. Believe me I always took time to let them know how much I appreciated it.
