Permed hair VS Curling iron?

Hey all Mylotters!
I absolutely love having my hair curly and use my curl iron almost everyday. What do you think: What will damage my hair more - using extreme heat everyday of my life, or perming my hair once every 3-6 months?
For the mylotters who have permed their hair before: Do (or did) you find it easier to maintain your hair with a perm and does it take up less of your prep time in the morning?

Well let's see, if you perm your hair, you're talking about chemicals and of course too much heat on your hair dries out your hair which causes breakage so with both of them you have to be careful. Take care and God Bless!
