My boyfriend is an aggressive sleeper...

I need to share this with you guys, it's actually realy funny: My Boyfriend is an aggressive sleeper! The other night, just as the 2 of us dosed off, he suddenly made a fist and pressed it slowly against my face. Still in shock I asked him "and this?" as he replied: "Oh sorry, I dreamed I hit someone" lol. Then again last night, just as we dosed off in a comfy spooning position, I once again woke up, this time with his knee between my two bum cheeks of which I got the reply: "I dreamed I kicked someone" Don't worry, he doesn't hurt me or anything, I just think it's really funny - everytime something like this happens we laugh ourselves back to sleep again! Does anyone experience the same thing? Please feel free to share ;-)

Lol, I would be scared he might wail on me or something on accident. I wonder if he has always been like that. Did he mention it? I'm glad you didn't get hurt:) Take care.

He actually wasn't like this before - we have been going through a stressful time lately and he isn't really the type that opens up and expresses himself. I guess his actions while asleep are cries for help - I have been very supportive though. Luckily we always laugh about it lol ;-)

I've heard stories of people who are on steroids and they find themselves trying to beat somebody up in their dreams. I guess thats roid rage. I'm not accusing your boyfriend of steroid use but these are just past stories i've heard.

I too had a boyfriend once who was an aggressive sleeper. he would fall asleep with his arm under my neck and then in the middle of the night he would swing his arm over his chest bringing me with him putting me in a head lock so I would slid out from under his arm and lay back down but then he swung his arm back down on me. Me and him are not together anymore though my new boyfriend is not an aggressive sleep thankfully.

hey, you may want to bring him to a therapist or a psychologist. the incidents you mentioned were a bit scary. he may have some issues. or it could just be stress or frustration. talk about it more. i don't think it is healthy for him and especially for you....my boyfriend talks sometimes, more like of a murmur.and he doesn't know his doing it. he keeps saying i was just making fun of him.

This only happened to me once, when I was married to my ex. He was dreaming he hit someone, and I was rudely awakened by a arm (fist) being thrown across my face! Well, being woke up rudely, I punched him in the arm! and woke him up! He was like 'what was that for?' and I told him......of course then we started laughing when we realized he had been dreaming and I just happened to be laying there! LOL It never happened again nor since
