Today, we just experience an earthquake. Magnitude 5.4.
The quake lasted about one minute or so, not sure I think.
We were evacuated from the building. But we could not go home yet because life goes on.
There was no reported injury so I guess they decided we can go back to work.
So here I am at work, but too worried about my kids. I could not get a hold of my kids school yet,
so I been calling them so many times. I hope they are well.

An earthquake? Where? When? And it lasted a whole minute? Hmmm, glad you're safe! I'm sure since you are safe your kids are too. You're in a high rise I'm sure? If your tall building is safe, I guess your kids basic school buildings are safe too. Pray for them, God will keep them safe... you'll see. Psalm 46:1,2 God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. So we we will not fear, though the earth give way, and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea.

Just talked with a pastor friend who lives around Anaheim. I forgot where exactly, but he said it really shook his house and the water was shaken out of his swimming pool. But they didn't have any damage. He said an after shock happened about 5 minutes later. He said it was about a 5.8 at his place.
Hope the children are okay.

I have bee reading more about the earhquake here o MyLot than I've read in the newspapers. It's nice to see so many people posting about it, so that I can see that my MyLot rieds living in he afected area are OK.

I heard this on the news and I'm glad that it was not anything major. There was another discussion posted about the earthquake and I told them. This year has been the year of natural disasters and that this was the first earth quake here in the US. It was a small one and I'm glad that it was not a major one. I can only hope that another one will not come again. I know your worried about your family but they should be fine. Have a good one.

yes, I really hope that USA is done with earthquakes.
it can be pretty scary when you hear about the one from China and other parts of the world, you can only be worried.
Luckily in the USA most buiding codes are required to meet certain standards and so far my office building is new so it is great.
My daughter's and son's school are fairly new school.
I hope there will not be any more earthquake.

I just saw it on news.
I'm so glad to hear you're ok,i hope your family is also doing well.
When things like this happen, it's so scary.
So i can just imagine how you feel having gone through it.
It's also good to know nobody was hurt, hope it stays that way.

i've already experienced one earthquake but to my luck it was a really down magnitude i do not know say exactly the point but it was enough to make fall on floor xD
ps: that was my first and unique earthquake
