Is Nothing Something?

Ok, I've been thinking (watch out!)
If i was to hold out my hand, with "nothing" in it and say "What is in my hand?" What would you respond to me with?
If you were to say nothing, then surely acknowledging nothing as something makes it something? When You say "There is nothing in your hand", does nothing not become something because you have acknowledged the fact that nothing IS there and given it substance due to declaring the nothing as a something called nothing.
The only time "nothing" would be there is if you were in a vaccum because there is always air and the smallest of dust particles there if you weren't in a vaccum. But then again, if you were in a vaccum with no air or dust or particles etc there would still be something there.... nothing.
