Ok, I have a question for you all. How long is it ok or safe to keep pizza that has been cooked and has been refrigerated? I have some in the fridge that is five days old. It still looks, smells, and tastes okay. So my question is, is it safe to eat today? Today is the 29th and I got it on the 24th. I already had one slice already and am now nervous! Have a great day and happy myLotting!

I already started feeling funny after eating one slice. I had slight diarrhea from it. Oh well. I threw it out. Next time I will not take a chance. It's dairy and I should have known better. Have a great day and happy myLotting!

Pizza generally keeps a week in the fridge. You just have to properly reheat it. Unless of course you have some sort of seafood on there. That may be a bit dangerous.

No, no seafood on this pizza. It was just cheese, green peppers, and onions. I still feel ok.

My hubby used to buy it and freeze it and use it all week long but being JUST in the fridge Iam not sure how good it is.

foil. and he would take it for his lunch or heat in microwave for supper. He did this only when he was off working in another state and I wasnt with him to cook

That is a great idea! I never thought about freezing it and then thawing later. Did he wrap it up in foil or in a freezer bag?

Ooh, schulzie ... I would be chucking it out! My husband and son don't mind heating up pizza or eating it cold the next day, but I think even that is a bit of a risk. There are so many ingredients on a pizza which have been sitting around before being cooked - then it would have been sitting around after it was bought before being refrigerated. Not a good risk - but if you get through the next 24 hours without stomach cramps, you'll probably be okay!

Well, so far so good! I haven't gotten sick yet. I hope I won't. I think if I don't eat it up tonight I will be throwing it out. I just hate to because I don't like to waste food or money.

If it looks and smells Okay, I'd go right ahead and eat it. My husband would never eat anything that has been in the ref for more than 2 days, but I eat anything. Happy mylotting and take care.

Hmmm, I now wonder if it's my mind playing tricks on me or not but my tummy started rumbling after reading all of these answers...

Don't worry about the rumbling...that's the thunder outside its gonna rain soon. Should I tell you about my experience? You might imagine worse things. When we were newly married my husband cooked my favorite viand. There was so much of it that I kept reheating it for about 4 days, putting it back in the fridge every time (aren't I a real foodie). Unfortunately on the fifth day I forget to put it back in the fridge, and after eating some, I started to feel rumblings which escalated to thunderings :0 I ended up in the emergency room - whew! that was a close one. Back to your pizza...how'd it go?

A food scientist would probably tell you not to eat it, but as a person with common sense I would say it is probably ok. Pizza has alot of preservatives in it. I dont think there is anything in it that would spoil to easily. If it was me I would eat it but if you want to be conservative, toss it.

I'm not really sure about the formalities of leftover pizza. I usually make sure that it's all gone before the three day mark. Around three or four days the pizza isn't really edible anymore since the pizza is either mushy or rock solid. If you can still somehow heat it up and get it back to it's original state then there should be a problem.

Yes, I wish I had eaten it before now. I am kind of concerned, but so far so good.
