I have to tell you this true story of my Aunt who recently died. She was always reading health books, and trying this and that. She heard a few years ago that KELP was good for you, so she started taking it everyday. The more she took it the more she believed it was helping her. She increased the quantity and took it without fail. One day she developed a pain in her side, so she took Kelp and said it helped the pain. Finally the pain got so bad she went to the doctor and they could not determine what was wrong. They decided exploratory surgery was the answer. They took her into surgery and said they had never seen anything like it in their life. They removed 3/4 of her stomach, a lot of her intestines and they had to stop, because she was dying. They clamped everything off and put her into intensive care. She stayed over night and the next day they took her back to complete the surgery, and she died on the operating table. They could not save her. She had destroyed her body with Kelp. Kelp is sea-weed and it is not a vitamin. Kelp is made up of 2 ingredients - iodine and potash. If you use idoized salt you are getting all you need of iodine. Potash from Kelp is used to make Fertilizers. Please don't take Kelp for your health unless a doctor tells you.... It could be disasterous for your health. I hope this helps a lot of people who believe kelp is good for you.

I used to take it, but not every day. I don't use it at all now. Thanks for letting us know.
