Well, the on-going soap opera that is my life got a little out of hand last week. It looks like we found a solution today. Anyway, the whole thing has me looking for some kind of stress relief. Today I went to the cafe as usual. I remembered how peppermint ea calmd me down when I was having a lot of stress once before. I ordered a cup. I swear that stuff is friggen magic!! Anyone else ever try peppermint tea when they need to calm down?

I think peppermint tea is magical too! I really love the stuff not only for the taste but the benefits of it. Just the smell of it makes me feel better. I like buying lotions and candles with peppermint in them too because I get the same calming benefits. I also find peppermint to have an invigorating scent which energizes me. I just bought a product from Origins called Sensory Therapy "Piece of Mind" that contains and smells like peppermint. It really works great for stress relief. The lady working there taught me how to use it. You rub it on your neck, temples and earlobes in circles with your fingers and inhale in the scent. Even though it's a little expensive I'd recommend it to anyone.

I've tried Chai Tea, it has a calming effect. Not like you're Gelling or anything but it does take the stress level down to a manageable one.

I love peppermint tea! It is something that I drink a lot of. I guess that I never noticed the calming aspect of it. Son has been off meds most of the summer and I have been a little high strung, and didn't even notice my shirt was inside out, thank god I didn't leave the house today. Few more weeks until school starts

To be honest, I have not tried peppermint tea yet. I think now I am going to try soon. I am a big fan of tea though. I like Indian tea, like masala tea.
Glad to hear that you found a way to calm down from stress.

I have never tried peppermint tea and quite honestly it doesn't sound like something I would be really thrilled about because I'm not a tea person, I much prefer coffee, BUT Hey if it works to calm the nerves I could get to like it. I am most definately going to give this a whirl as soon as I can get to the store. Thank You for the tip. I doubt there is anyone out there that has NO stress!

Peppermint is good but you should also try Chamomile and Kava, Kava. Both of them are good for calming down. But they are better if you drink them before bed time. Or when your home and you know that your not going out again. Peppermint is good but when your home and not going out for anything. That is the best time they are good for a calm down. Have a good one.

Yes, I found that peppermint tea is refreshing too.
Some times ago when I went to an internet cafe, they serve a cup of peppermint tea. The taste was so great, it felt like there's some choco taste but It's just a tea.
I wonder what is the tea's brand. I can't ask them because I'm sure they won't tell me.
So the only way I can taste that nice taste is going to that internet cafe.

Peppermint tea, hmmm. That is good information. I would want to try that just to see if I get the same effect. Stress is very bad all around and I need to learn all the stress-busting techniques that I can lay my hands on. Cheers!!

I drink peppermint tea more near Xmas time. I like to have certain flavors at different times of the year. But i bet it would be a calming drink.
