I think we all know about the famous Japanese food sushi. Some people are crazy for sushi. For me it is ok, but not very exciting to eat sushi. We ate some sushi yesterday, and my husband just did not like it. Specially one that smelled like raw fish. Me too could not eat that one, but others were ok for me.
Do you like sushi or a very big fan of it?
If yes, what kind of sushi you like?

I like sushi. :D Well California Maki must be the easiest to consume among the sushi family. LOL I guess the one that smelled raw fish is really raw fish. LOL Not all people love to eat them but I believe its healthy so I eat them. You like wasabi with sushi? Not all people do but its interesting to eat.

good for you.
But raw fish in sushi most of the time does not taste like raw fish.

True, sometimes they just taste so foreign. But none the less they can be healthy for you. I wonder why most of the food good for you doesn't taste that the are good for you LOL

I love sushi but I am super picky about where I eat it. If I was served raw fish that smelled fishy, I would not have eaten anything on my plate. Fishy fish means that it is not fresh! Sushi fish is suppose to be like fresh off the boat, sushi grade only.

Right, sushi fish should be fresh. Fresh means off the boat.

I am a fan of Sushi, not sure why but just like the sweet and soury taste of the compacted rice. My favorites are unagi, fresh salmon, soft shell crab roll, as well as california roll. Oh, not forgetting the yummy squid too.

I do like sushi, particularly California and Philadelphia rolls and although I've only had them once at a sushi buffet, shrimp tempura rolls. The only reason I don't eat it too much is because it never fills me up and all the rice is a lot of carbs lol

True, sushi alone can not fill you up when you are hungry.

I love sushi! I do not know what does it have that makes me love it more and more. I just dont like the wasabi part. I never really like hotness it have. I like California Maki. The "smelled like raw fish" that you are saying, it's really raw, smells blood right? maybe its tuna, its usually tuna. but its good even its raw.

I've never had sushi except once, it was the kind with rice and whatever you want to have added wrapped in seaweed. I didn't care for the seaweed part. But if I'm not mistaken, it's a myth that sushi is raw fish - it can be but it doesn't have to be. I believe what makes it sushi is the sticky rice which is the primary ingredient.

Yes, it does not have to be raw fish. But what my hubby ate was made from raw fish. Generally raw fish does not smell in a sushi, but that day it was. May be they are not so good at making it.

I love sushi, but my husband doesn'tt like it that much. There is a really good all-you-can-eat sushi buffet just down the street from where I live. I like to go there on my own, now and then, and absolutely stuff myself full of sushi. If it's all-you-can-eat, why not? :) That stuff is delicious!

I have never had Sushi in my life. In fact I have never even seen it before. To be honest, I have no desire to taste it.

I think you should try sometime just for experience, as you are a good cook and have great interest in food.

I love sushi, but of course it depends where it comes from. I hate the sushi that can be purchased at supermarkets (for example, Shop&Stop, StopRite, Hong Kong Supermarket wherever else); they're simply low quality (hence their cheap price). Besides, they usually only make the most simple, plain-tasting rolls (such as california roll or unagi roll).
I love sushi from my favorite Japanese restaurants. My favorite roll is spicy tuna and tempura flakes, topped with salmon and avocado. This is referred to as 'Valentine Roll' where I get it.
