Hello everyone! Well we all know how high the gas prices are. Even though they have dropped a little bit where I live, it is still over $4 a gallon. I recently saw a poll on a website where people responded to how higher gas prices affect them. I was suprised to see that a good amount (almost 40%) said that I doesn't affect too badly or not at all! I know they have affected me and I try make all my errands on the same day and go out traveling less. I was thinking maybe it was a mistake of some kind?! So, Have higher gas prices affected you at all?
Thank you so much everyone!

In India petrol costs about $1.4 a litre. This is really expensive, considering the not-so-high standard of living. Inflation has gone up to 11.9%. Prices of essential commodities are spiraling. There are some families in rural areas that have stopped eating meat, vegetables and fruits because they are expensive. Added to existing socio-economic problems, steep fuel prices are all set to destroy my country.

Hi Kellyann627, its interesting to note that 4$ a gallon is considered expensive. I have to tell you first that I can no longer afford to run my car, I have to walk everywhere and, as I live in Spain, that is a lot of hours out of a day. The prices over here are horrendous, try $7.35 a gallon, this is outrageous considering the low wages over here. I have just done some conversions to get this figure, but here is the price as stated in petrol stations in Spain €1.25 per liter and no sign of coming down.

The remedy for the gas price hike is the invention of new alternate energy resource. I remember that I have participated a similar thread recently. Any how I repeat my stand to the world community to augment on this matter to save the humanity.
