Have you ever met someone & known from the first word spoken that you were going to become the very best of friends??? This has happened to me several times during my lifetime. The first time I thought it was just my imagination. Since it has happened several times now, I've learned to trust my instincts. In the process I've found some wonderful friends. Seems I've found several of those friends here a myLot. I think you know who you are...THANK YOU for being my friend!!! Has this ever happened to you???

OMG yea and its happened several times over in my life and 98% of those ppl are stil my friends to this very day...BUT I've always been a very good judge of character adn it only takes me a short time of spending time with someone to figure out what they are all about..

It's funny. I think we all have these instincts, but some of us are more attuned to them than others.
This happens to me, also. I've known instantly whether I would like someone or dislike someone. My instinct has always proven true.
It has happened to me here on myLot as well, especially one person. She'll know who she is if she reads this.
I've become friends with some people and gotten "warning signs" about them, but chose to ignore them. Those warning signs should not have been ignored! It is always best to follow your instincts, or gut feelings.

Hi Lady M, yes I feel I am pretty good with judging people's character and I know right away if we are going to hit it off nor not. I am glad you popped into mylot and have extended your friendship to many of us.

This has never happened to me mainly because from the first word onwards, i tend to judge the person first as to what type of a person he/she is and only then, can proceed to continue speaking to him or her.....but i am really very happy that it has hapnd to you which is a very sweet thing that does not happen to many

I too am careful in getting to know someone. However, I have learned that when I get that first meeting feeling that we will be good friends, it comes true. They always seem to have the qualities of a good friend. I find it a definite blessing :)

Most of the time I try my best to be friendly to those who seem friendly but kept myself silent when I don't like the topic they are discussing that is how I trust my instinct. But there is only one person whom from the very first time I knew we would be the very best friends. He is my husband.I did not go wrong because after 33 years we are still the best of friends. It is only now I realize I have only a few friends. At 54 I only have a few.Joining my lot is now my cup of tea.Wish I could gain more.

I think you will enjoy your stay. NO, I know you will enjoy your stay!!!

To a long, funfilled friendship!

Friendship is something very precious and finding a true friend is indeed a treasure hunt. We meet with lots of people everyday and we can not find our friends among all of them. True friend is something to be kept for whole life. One can not have many of them.
I think destiny meets two best friends. When I meet with my best friend, who is now my girlfriend also, I felt I know her for long and as I was waiting for her. Same thing happened to her also.

Yes! My best friend from high school and I met this way. I met her at an orientation for high school when we were freshmen. I found out that we both walked to school and we both lived very close. Unfortunately she lived the other direction from me so our paths did not cross on the way to school but we would both leave early and meet in the cafeteria at school in the mornings. I actually have lost touch with her but we were pretty close for about 15 years

No, this has never happened to me before. I know when I meet people whether or not I'll like them or if they'll be good friend material in the future, but I can't tell if we'll be the very best of friends. Also, I like being alone sometimes so I've never had a real best friend. I have several close and very trustworthy friends but we odn't hang out or talk to each other every day.

That's my idea of a best friend....somebody who is there for you when you need them & smart enough to leave you alone when you need YOUR time.

Hi Marissa,
This had happened to me more than once. It doesn't happen very often and it has happened to me more online than in person since I don't leave the house very much. lol
I do trust my instincts too. If I feel that a person is somehow connecting with me, I know they can be a true friend, possibly for life.
Thank you for being my friend!
Happy MyLotting,
Char

That has happened to me a few time. It is like you have already known them forever. I have a friend who can finish my sentences and pretty much knows what I am thinking before I say it. I am glad you are enjoying yourself here!

Well, this often happens to me. I have several best friends or lifetime friends and I knew they would be my best friends from the first word. I trust my instinct totally, as it always show me the right way to go. In the find-best-frinds case, it helps me a lot. I always say that there is inevitability in relationships I have with my friends; that's why the minute I meet them I know they will be my friends for my entire life.
Thank you guys-my best friends!
By the way, oppositely, there are also these people that I hate the very moment I meet them. And once I hate them, it is very hard to change my attitude towards them.

The ones I don't like on first meeting still have a chance to become a friend. Can't think of one that has become a best or special friend tho.

Yes, I have, I have some friends now that are just like family. When we started going to a new church, I met this family and it seemed like we hit it off just like that, like we've known each other a long time. Now they are really good friends of mine, and I always feel at home when I go to their house, its like I'm just a part of them. I don't know how to explain it.

yes, when someone says one word then i konw if he is one that fit for my personality then i will have a lot of things chat with her or him.and also in here.but i don't hear his or her voice and her or his face.so i think it is easy to come in real world.and this is also a instinct for many persons.
