Do you read comments in Youtube?

I like youtube because I get to find and download my favorite old and new music videos. I also find youtube useful because there are tutorial videos on different things that I need to know, but I never read comments regarding the videos.
One day, I opened youtube and surf for the latest music video of the singer that I like and I found it. I scrolled down to the comments for the first time and was able to read them. There were positive and negative comments. It was okay to see negative comments because they were constructive, but then there were negative comments that were really below the belt and so destructive for the singer. I was hurt because I am a fan and nobody has the right to say bad things about a person specially if you do not know the person. Well, I guess there are just people who are naturally like that.
How about you, do you read comments in youtube or just ignore them?

It depends... Sometimes if i want to know some information about the video.. than i go to read the comments...
But mostly i never read comments
You should not be upset by reading negative comments...
...
But Nowadays i stop watching videos on youtube... I feel ther quality is too bad...

when i view videos at youtube and my connection is not as good as it is then i try to check out comments to see if they have something good or negative to say about the video i am about to watch. sometimes i ignore them. haha!

I do read them...sometimes...well, just the first page anyway. LOL! I don't really go much for those comments because some might just make me feel bad and some comments just fly past by me without understanding them. So, I just let it be.

I usually read at least a few comments and if some comment or the video itself encourages me to comment, I will do that. But usually I just rate the comments.

i use youtube almost everyday if not everyday and i find it hilarious to read the comments people write. a lot of the people that post comments are probably crazy because they write the weirdest things and they get into really heated arguments with other people who they dont even know nor will they ever meet. but i definitely like to read the comments because it is always a guaranteed sure fired laugh.

if i really like a video i'll read the comments, but if i'm just browsing not really.
