There is no best age gap as such - it's different for everyone.
My mum is 6 years older than my dad and that's not a problem.
One of my mates is the same age as his wife and that's not a problem.
Abother mate is 3 years older than his wife and they're very happy too.
It's all down to the individuals.

yes its ok for the ladies to be older than guys but preferably guys should be older because guys mature late and that it would help in keeping the relationship.

yes i think it is okay.. but age gap between the couple should not be more then 2 or 3 years...

Sure it is, age is just a number. What is more important is compatibility and commitment. I do believe that an extremely large gap in the ages of a couple increases the chance that the relationship doesn't work out but everyone deserves a chance based on who they are, not on how old they are or anything else.

My husband and I have a gap 5 years and 5 months. It works best for us because I can get childish sometimes and he can act old ;O) But seriously, I know that I am dealing with a mature person who can understand my moods and the stuff I do. In turn, I can grow up more easily with him as some sort of guide.
