Texas & California

This has been an ONGOING issue with most "remote" states. I recently went to Alaska, and found the same problems with people from Texas and California. In Colorado; not sure who, or when it all started, but Texans are not the favorite people by anymeans. When I was a kid 30 years ago; I saw many cars/trucks with stickers on them displaying the state of Texas with a circle and slash thru it. I didn't get it being just a kid. They all said I would once I got older; and boy did I ever. Every state has tourism; brings money-momentarily-seasonally and that is a good thing, but what is NOT good, is when they come up and purchase land and decide to parcel it out and build million dollar homes in a "remote" area; then file bankrupsy because nothing panned out. So now we have once beautiful landscaped area demolished by "urbanism" and all was part of a get rich scheme that didn't pan out; they left, we still look at the scars. The people we visited in Alaska had land grandfathered in from the early 1900's (Russian) and it was aprox 500,000 acres. Well, Mr. Hog Boss from Texas went up with his checkbook, and put on a "innocent" face to purchase part of the land as he wanted a place to "retire" and have as a "peaceful" resting spot. 2 years later; in come the excavators; backhoes, and now 180 parcels with 160 homes going up. He broke his promise, the deed, and yes-they are currently in a lawsuit over it. Another scar. Personally, if a person from Texas comes in our establishment, we can tell right away; and they are not liked-nothing personal, I am sure there are "nice, good" Texans, but it was the ones before you who created your image many states now hold of you. California is just know for it's irratic drivers; they are more conservative with their money & know better than to scar up land-. Either way; if you are in a "foreign state" and don't know your way around; pull off the road and let everyone by- it's only fair, and no, we don't go to your states so you won't worry about us blocking traffic anytime soon.

you know i have to say that is not fair every state has people that are jerks. every state has millionairs that go in and buy up land and do things that not all agree with. i have known people from alaska that have went to another state and started up a business and trust me it wasnt something anyone wanted in there town. that close to homes. they opened a bar. needless to say they hut down and i dont know where they went afterwards. i have known people from florida that moved on my property and destroyed it. people from oklahoma that we had to condemn a house they rented from us after they moved out. i have lived in many different states and trust me all of us have something or some one i should say in our state that is just horriable or people with money that think they can do what they want. personally most new yorkers get on my nerves and i have lived there before but still they drive me nuts most of the time but i do have a few friends that are from there so even though most drive me crazy there are still a few that are ok in my book so i would never go around saying all new yorkers are nuts, loud, and full of them selves even though most i have met are.

Intereting, I have heard that people from Oregon don't really like people from CA either. I got weird vibes when I went to Canada a few years ago, just over the border of NY, I don't know if it was just people from NY they didn't seem to like or all americans.
