to tell you the truth, i always forget to thank God in every meal, i'm just being honest, i don't pray before or after meal only when i was still in school that i practiced that and that was a long time ago , i know that every food given to us given by God. i hope God forgive me for not thanking him for the food most of the time, so whenever i hear my kids pray before meal, i feel ashamed for forgetting to thank God for all the meals he has given me, i hope others are not like me. i promise to thank God now for every meal.

it was my kids who gave me an idea to ask this question, i think as parents we should always be reminded of these simple things and yet sometimes forgotten by most.

I want to say don't feel too bad because I used to not pray for every meal too. Then I guess I woke up or was woke up. But it is something to take very seriously at the same time. As long as we are striving to live better each day, and it sounds like you are, that is what God wants. Paul says to stay in constant prayer, to pray fervently. Just make sure you are reading God's word this will enhance your prayer life as well as your faith. Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God. Faith is the victory that overcomes the world. I know these are saying you have heard but are still the true basics. Just make sure your kids pray and know why to pray. In this world it's not "cool" (whatever that means) to worship and love God. I think kids even some adults don't pray at school or in public places for fear of someone thinking they are wierd or not cool. But believe me when God comes again no one will worry who is cool and who is not......
