Look out the favorite window in your living room. Now please can you tell me what you see? Include specifics like the plants or whatever. As I look out my small living room window what is see is the photo attatched. This is my smallest flower bed. It is my butterfly/bee bed as I like to call it ever so often. It contains the red flowers known as BeeBalm. Then the other large plants are called Seedums. They flower with small pink flowers in the early fall/late spring. Then there is also Irises that are done blooming for the year. Plus 2 solar powered lights along the edge of the bed. And of course my car sitting in the drive. Share with us what your view is out your window. Be it weeds, flowers, dirt or roads. Thanks in advance all.

hanks for the return comment.
I have a neighbor that does daycare. Each time I go bike riding I stop to see all the kids. They love me and call me Bob The Builder. The younger ones do anyhow.

During the day is much better. Apart form our orange pots with the little green plants I can see kids playing outside (when there are no classes), neighbors mingling, the cold red wall becomes flushed with vibrant life and the windows becomes a gateway to the innermost sanctuary of our neighbor. :p

Umm.... can't see much... it's really dark, cold (not that you can see THAT! ;) Well, actually... if I breathe on the window I can see my breath, so I guess that counts as seeing cold, right?!?! ;) ) AND it's RAINING! Stormy weather and late at night!
Probably not the kind of answer you were looking for... but that's all I can see atm... LOL!

I am looking for all answers actually. Rain and cold is still a great part of loving nature and enjoying it right? Thanks also.

My apartment is on the third floor and I look out over the roofs of other houses. I see and hear pigeons and doves and noisy gulls. The backyard gardens are too far below for me to see what's in them.
In the distance I can see a tall viewing tower which is one of the most popular tourists attractions in the area. Near to it are the historic dockyards in Portsmouth and if I look carefully between the houses I can just see the top of the ship HMS Victory, which is more than two hundred years old.
I can't see the sea, even though it's not far from here, but when the big ferries pass by on their journey across the channel to France or Spain I can sometimes see their funnels as they sail by.

Most of the houses were built in Victorian times so they have gables and towers and tall chimneys, but regulations mean that only smokeless fuel can be burned so there is no smoke.
I'm on the south coast of England and I watched a nice French tall ship sail by when I was on the seafront on Sunday. It's a shame you won't be able to go to see the tall ships arrive in your area.

From my favorite window in my living room, I can see a hill with a hotel on its top. Deep forests surround my city. I can see lots and lots of trees. Beautiful clouds in the sky add to the beauty. Well I am not a poet, but the scenery outside my window is really amazing. Thanks, your discussion topic really made me realize that I indeed miss seeing natures beauty and I should spend less time on computer and more time gazing outside my window. Happy posting to you too:)

Is it a large hill and a large Hotel? What city are you in? We have a lot of white puffy clouds right now with a gentle cool breeze keeping the heat down a little today. I like to look at the beauty surrounding me each day to appreciate what the Higher Power has done for me daily. Thanks.

When I looked out my window I saw that it was very rainy and gloomy outside. I see my SUV and my 626 in the yard I see its raining on a old sliding board that my kids no longer use. My grass could use a good cutting cause its growing. The bird bath is soak and wet and my fence is not closed I see just a boring day with rain for the most part.

I will just look out of my bedroom window, which is just next to the living room window anyway. It is hazy at the moment and the sky is kind of grey, but I can still see the big university blue building across the way and in the distance the Schlossberg with its Clock Tower. The hill is green now that it is still summer, but it will soon turn into all sort of autumn colours once August and September come along!

Well, not in the living room right now but if I was there both windows there look out to the garden - corn and pumpkin plants are the most noticable right now but have just about everything else too.
I actually spend more time in my bedroom where my comfy recliner and laptop are - I see grandkid's swimming pool, grandkids play set, and the 'bird sanctuary' as we call it. Irises have also finished blooming but sunflowers that sprouted from seeds spilled from the bird feeders, poplurs and maple tree, and I can see 2 cherry trees which are finished for the year.
And my latest addition to the bird sanctuary - pictured here a bird house I painted recently - sparrow moved in within 24 hours of hanging it :)

Afraid none of our fruit trees did too well this year - when most started to bloom we got a huge wind storm (70+ mile an hour gusts), then what survived and started to develope where hit with a hail storm :( apples are about the only thing that's doing much at all and cherries are all gone now.

Well my view isn't so spectacular..LOL...The window that is to my left of me from my computer (which is in the corner of my living room) looks out to the iron Fire-escape...from there I can see the small remains of the larger tree, one of the ones hacked by that pruning company..and across the street from me is a eight story apartment building...so no great views.

Since I have two window in my living room, each with a little bit different view, I'll share both. The first window, I see the shrub that runs along the front of the property, from my driveway to the other side of the house next door. I see the large grass area between our houses, and two bunnies, who come to play each evening, they'll be back in the morning too. Out the other window, I see all the hanging baskets, and potted flowers, hibiscus, geraniums, and my fuchia plants (thanks for helping me figure out how to take care of them!) And I see the large tree that sits between the house and driveway, where peanut lives (the baby squirrel, that's not a baby now). The only buildings I see, is the house next door, the old factory building across the street, and the 'high rise' which is a retirement home, that is across the side street from the house next door.

I looked out my front door, it has a big window in it, and I seen the pasture out to the side of the house, I seen the big old barn sitting there, and the two redbud trees. I can see the pond from here, with green grass and green trees everywhere, I didn't see the cows, they are out there somewhere. I can see our two raised garden beds with weeds growing in them, because we don't garden anymore..lol. I see my car sitting in the drive also, and my husband's riding mower sitting out there, I see the holly hocks long tall stems still standing, they are done blooming now, so their kinda brown looking. Thats about it, I would put a picture on here if I could. I'll see if I can.

Looks like you have a really nice view, and some nice plants! When I look out my living room window, I see my hedges, in the background, dripping glistening water from our short morning shower. In the center of the U-shaped driveway, I see my one rose garden that has my grandmother's graveside urn standing in the center with a cascade of flowers in it. (The cemetary changed it's rules and I had to bring it home. This huge thing has been at the cemetary in my families grave plots since the 40's. It's silver and about 3 feet tall and a foot and a half across the top. It brings me fond memories of my family that's gone.)
I can also see the side bed along the garage. I have scads of peonies there. The peonies were planted at my Dad's farm house back in the mid 1800's and were planted by my great, great, great grandmother. (I multiply them constantly, and now all my family members have some family history in their gardens too.) In the bed that's just under the window, I have ressurection lilies (they bloom in the spring, disappear totally, then come back in the fall for another bloom.) I also have a tree peony from my Aunt, as well as a rose bush of hers that I started from cuttings. The rest of the area has lots of chrysanthemums that were multiplied from plants that I got for Mothers day when my kids were little. I guess you could call my plants a living tribute to family lol.

Thank you very much. Out my front picture window I can see my Lilies when they are in bloom, my Red Maple tree with the bird feeded attatched. A few Hostas. My mail box and the two streets in front of the house as well. What type of hedges are they? I'd love to see a photo of the rose bushes you have if possible. The urn is that big? My wife wants peonies. Are they tubers that have to be dug up in the fall and stored till the thaw arrives in spring? 1800's? Those are some old ones. Great sharing plants especially ones from other family members down the bllod lines. I give my daughter plants as well and my son planted some of my plants at his carwash he manages also. What a beautiful description. Thank you so very much.

Living room - HA! I live in a studio, I wish I had more than one room. I wish I had the view you have too. I see a brick wall, one tree, no grass at all, other peoples filthy looking terraces and parked cars. The fumes are breath taking! Well as I look out of my living room window the first thing I see are my recyling boxes, and if I look really carefully then I may just see the baby rat that comes in the garden sitting there looking for scraps. But shush don't tell hubby or else he may want to get rid of it! then all I can see then is the beginning of my patio and the path down to the gate at the side of it.
Through the gate is our shed, which is over 100 years old and looks it too, and then walk further down and there is our garage and then further still we have a bunch of trees. I think I might have a photo somewhere so I will put it on.
The trees at the bottom of the garden are ours, and we are in the process of having work done on the garden too, the car you can see in the bottom of the pic we no longer have. Thanx to the government rising the prices of everything we had to downscale.

OK, well I don't actually have a clue what sorts of trees I have in my garden, I just know that the ones at the bottom are massive and very beautiful coloured during summer months. Then I have a christmassy tree by the shed and then just in the picture at the top there is a blossom tree of some kind.
It is not clothes on the line but pegs, but I do fill that line once or twice a day!

Ok...so when I look out the window from my living room I see my backyard. It has two levels. The first level includes my patio with my patio furniture and the grill. The usual stuff. Plus, lots of room for my dog to go roam around. We have one of the biggest back yards in my subdivision and because we are on a cul 'd' sac that also allows us one of the biggest yards. The second level starts with a slope upward and then we had it grated to flatten it out and put grass in about 6 or so years ago. That is where our trees are. There is only one tree on the lower level which is a dogwood. We named the upper level of our backyard "Friz Mountain" after our dog, Frizbee. He likes to go up there and roam around...it is also pretty spacious...and sometimes he will lay down up there and just keep an eye on the house and the portions of the street in the front of the house that he can view from up there. He can also keep an eye on our neighbors on either side of us from there. He always looks so regal and majestic up there. LOL! We planted some Hostas (sp) up there. Did a little landscaping around the trees. Actually, my mother-in-law did most of that for us. Since we are still under water restrictions, we aren't even bothering to water and, fortunately, the rain we have been getting, and the heartiness of the Hostas (or is it Hastas) have kept them all alive throughout the past two years...and the years before when they were put in.
My backyard is fenced in so that Frizbee can wander around as long as he wants to without leaving the property and without us having to lead him around the backyard on a leash.
That is about all there is in my backyard. Well, except for the junipers that the landscapers put in on that slope that leads up to the second level of our yard. They are a stock plant in landscaping in Georgia. Oh...and I have a gigantic Rosemary bush that started off maybe 2 feet tall (if even that) and is now probably about 5 feet tall and maybe 4 or so feet wide. It is huge and we love it because, even though we don't like rosemary, it adds a nice scent to the yard and is really very cool to watch as it continues to grow.

My yard is large as well and downslpoes to the back fence.
I want to make it 2 tiered and add a pnd against the back fence.
Some year it may happen but not soon I know.
Dogwoods are nice looking trees.
Friz Mt. How cute.
So you are saying you spy on your neighbors kind of like BB does?
Hahahaha! Joking. (kind of)
These watering restricyions include not allowed to water a garden?
We have the odd even bans for lawns only. I can water my gardens anytime.
Juniper shrubs are nice and neat looking if kept trimmed neatly.
Thanks for a magnificent view of this yard.

My dogwood needs to be moved to another spot because it isn't getting the full amount of sun it needs. We moved it from its original spot because it was put in at a tilt by the landscapers (hired by the people who built the subdivision). They basically put the tree in the perfect spot for it but, it was tilting and we didn't want it to get bigger and have problems. So, not knowing much about what dogwoods need, we put it somewhere that we preferred which wasn't where it would prefer. LOL! So, someday we are going to try to find a better place for it.
Friz is like a little spy. LOL!
The junipers are ok but, we would prefer something else. Unfortunately, they have had 7 years to grow and won't be easy to remove at this point.
I think that we have a partial ban now which is odd even but, we gave up watering last year because we knew a 100% ban was about to be put into place and we were already used to it when it did happen. But, we have the odd even between the hours of 10 pm and some time in the AM but, we still don't water because we are in such dire need of water in GA. Why use what we don't have enough of for landscaping we haven't even bothered to put in for 2 years? And, we are getting enough rain right now to keep everything happy. So, if it gets too bad, we will throw on the water for a while like we did I think twice last year before the 100% ban.
You are welcome for the peek into my backyard!
