Do you 'preview' your responses and discussions before posting?

Don't you really hate it when you click the 'submit' button and realise that you have a big typo that probably won't make sense to anyone who doesn't read it a few times?
Do you preview your responses and discussions before submitting them, maybe make sure you got the grammar and spellings or emoticons right for the readers of your posts? Do you prefer to read it through before instead?
I should probably read this one through and preview as I am not in a hurry...:)

Hey, I don't and I regret making spelling mistakes. I happened to me just now in my earlier response. Silly me, I spelt dozens as doznes. I don't know if readers will get the message right but it looks an odd man out among the correctly spelt English words.

I never preview my replies. I'm too lazy to do it - thats the truth. I do end up with a few typos and stuff. The worst has been when I have hit submit and realised that I have typed with the caps lock on!
I wouldnt be surprised if this response has a couple of typos. I'm gonna hit post response no - wish me all the best!

I'm always in such a hurry to do things, I rarely preview anything and yes, I've been embarrassed by some of the things I've let slide. I pride myself in being fairly well-read and literate, I know how to string two words together, and I type 80+ wpm.
Bad combination, LOL ...

I do like to check my posts out before hitting the submit button. But, even then, mistakes can be made. We 'hear' our words as we read through our own post and we think we 'see' the words correctly. And, if you are using a spell checker, you still can make mistakes because they don't pick up on correctly spelled words used incorrectly. Like this morning, I was responding to a post and I made sure had no misspelled words. Well, just as I hit the submit button, I realized I had put an 'EAT' where it should have been 'AT'. Hopefully, everyone just read like I did and didn't realize the mistake I made. And, if they do, perhaps they won't beat me too badly.

You know i have never preview any of my posts on here since I have been on here. Its untill only later when a few people have responded to my discussion do I go back and look at it. I know I should get into the habbit of previewing my responses and such since I am not a really good speller.

Ah the preview button. I should, I know I should, but I never do. That's why every once in a while I find huge mistakes that I could have fixed had I previewed it first LOL
There have been times when I tried to remind myself to do it as I start posting. I tell myself" Ok this time I"m going to check it before I submit" but by the time I finish, I hit submit and that's it hehehehe

I rarely ever use the preview, since I use Firefox it tells me when I have typos, when I remember to look. About the only time that I actually do is to check and see how many lines of text I have actually written. Theough even then I don't necessarily have any more in me to write.

Is that where that comes from? I was a bit confused as to whether it was a Firefox or myLot feature.. I am guessing you mean the words underlined in red. I learn something new everyday

I don't preview my responses, but I probably should, because after they post sometimes I notice a typo and get aggravated. It only takes a moment, so I guess I might start to preview before posting. It's bound to be a better way, although a tiny bit more time consuming.

yup, it is more time consuming especially if your PC is slow and your internet speed is not up to scratch!

Yes, I always preview what I've wrote before I hit the submit button, but sometimes even tho I've looked at it a few times, there will be a misspelled word or a missing word. It makes me mad when I do that, then I'll have to go and add a oops..I messed up comment under it..lol. If you try to go back when you notice it, you'll lose what you had on there and you'll have to write it all over again.

Hi there!
Its not very often now that I preview my post before submitting it. Especially if I'm in a hurry. But before when I was just new here I'd always make sure to preview my post to check for wrong spellings ang grammar but as days gone by I seldom do it now. Previewing my post before submitting still takes time to upload especially that my computer is a bit slow. But before I submit my post I make it a point to read it several times first just to be sure my post is free from errors. Its just much faster if I read it rather than previewing it.
Ciao!

I am sometimes the impulsive type when posting. I rarely hit on preview. I do still remember to read it thoroughly before hitting on post as I know I'm lazy to do the preview. I read it when it's been posted and if there are errors, I post the correction for it.

Yes, that's handy when you're responding. A bit wierd and haven't worked out yet how to post a correction to a discussion you start once you've posted it as we can't respond to our own discussions too.. you just hope people get it

I never use the preview option when I post a discussion or response. After I type everything I just reread it right here where you type and make sure it sounds alright. I just think it's a waste of time to do the whole "preview response" thing. If I make a drastic typo sure I might feel silly but everyone makes mistakes and as long as it's just one and not like 5 or 6 I think people can pretty much get the gist of what I was trying to say.

I try to check my posting for spelling errors in microsoft word but than I usually hit the submit button straight ahead.

I do not press the preview button quite often. Sometimes, if I've drafted a lengthy response, I just go through it again to check errors. Once I have written my response, I simply 'submit' it.

Hi,
I don't actually use the preview button. I do read over my post and try to make sure there aren't any typos but still some will slip by on me.
I wish they had a spell checker on here. That would help me alot. I get to writing and try to type a word, I look at it and it just doesn't look right. I have to go to my dictionary site and look it up. I hate to misspell words. lol

You could try typing in another application and spell checking it before posting if you have the time, I think it'd save you checking in the dictionary site..but then again, i don't think myLotters would mind much a misspelt word - for me as long as the sentence makes sense, it's cool
