this is just getting out of hand, i don't know what to do anymore, because my dog he is about four years old or something like that and he is still young because he plays all of the time and he likes to have a good time with whatever it is he is doing, and hes a very loving dog, but sometimes he will go to the door to go outside and use the bathroom and thats fine i know that every dog has got to use the bathroom from time to time and i did get the dog, but here recently like the past few days he will go outside and maybe do number one once and then just look around and thats it and then like a hour later he does it again...i just don't know whats going on, so what about all of you, how many times does yours use the bathroom a day? thanks for taking the time to read my discussion and hopefully you will take part and answer...i hope that you all have a great day today!

We have to take our dog out about three times a day. Not too bad really, we take her out in the morning, and during the day and then again before we go to bed.

Hello dear jhl. We used to have a poodle and was later sent to our friend. Our poodle did not like to use the bathroom. When he wanted to pee, he just did so and we had to mop the floor each time he peed. Now our poodle is with my friend in their house and I have not seen her ever since, but I miss her a lot.

I think it all depends on how often you are agreeing to take your dog outside. Sometimes my dog will ring her bell (we've taught her to ring a bell when she has to go outside) just to ring it because she is bored and wants to go outside and dink around. When I don't get up and make a move to take her out she will walk away. I know she really has to go out if she keeps ringing it and knocking it against the wall. I work nights, so when I get home in the morning I take her out, then we go to bed...we get up around 9:30-10am and she goes out to go potty, just pee. Then we go back to bed till about 1:30pm. We get up and I have some breakfast then we go out for our run/walk. During this time is when she poops. Sometimes even 2 or 3 times...I think the running kind of helps it out of her. LOL Then we come home and before I leave for work she goes out again. Then she is inside for a good 6 hours til I come home on my break and let her out. So I would say in total she goes out about 5 times, which I think is a good number. Sometimes if it's my day off we might go out an extra few times to walk and get the mail or just for a little short walk and she almost always pees again during that time.
