Ok, I had a baby 11 mo and he was born in the middle of aug. my feet were swollen for 4 months before and after I had him. It has been almost a year and my feet must have gotten wider because non of my old shoes fit and I went to buy a new pair of sneakers and had to buy a bigger size and they are still snug on the sides of my feet. Has this happened to anyone and will they ever be like they were before?!?!?!?!?

OK..my husband was a manager in California for 15 years of a shoe store and says this is very common. When a lady gets pregnat, her feet cna grow and she WILL need, in many cases, a larger shoe size. Fully normal, alright? It is OK. Just make sure a person correctly measures the width and size/length of your feet, so you will not have feet problems and pain later and then go get your shoes with a good fit for the real foot size you now have.
It's OK! My feet went form a size 7 and a half when I had my kids to a nine and a half. It's common. Do not try to wear our old shoes, OK? It could damage your feet.

this is very common in women after they have children. Most women from what I understand go up a shoe size or two after they give birth...how and why I have no idea. It happend to me as well!!! I dont think it will happen again if you plan to have more children.

I had that with my first. I had to wear shoes two sizes bigger and I didn't see my ankles again until five months after I gave birth. The feet eventually got back to the old shoe size but seem to swell more easily when I'm walking for a long time. I also noticed that they are a bit wider after three pregnancies now. But the sole is flatter, too, which means the weight may have resulted in the foot not arching right anymore. This results in wider feet.
