what do u do when u miss ur lover?

Everyday I have to be away from my boyfriend. While i wait for him, I clean to make sure he has a fresh place to put his feet when he comes home. I do laundry so the house smells like washing. I go to the gym and work out so I can become more fit and have a nicer wedding dress. I go to the tanning bed so my skin looks more exotic. I shower and brush my teeth so he says i smell desirable when he comes home. I discipline my children to help them be less stressful to him when he is here. I read books and watch movies so I will have something to talk to him about. I research all the new movies coming out so we can watch them together when he comes home or is off work. I use the time away from him to make myself a girl he wants to keep forever and is proud of.

There are few times I had to go away for few days for my work... We usually play phone tags back & forth... I usually take a picture of my girl friend & my daughter if I know ahead of time, which is in most cases, that I'm going away... Sometimes my girl friend emails me few pictures to my phone when I'm away more than a day...

I just think of our happy memories-- that would make me smile and ease my loneliness. I would text him and would tell him to come home soon...

Since my boyfriend and I now live on opposite ends of the city I don't see him as much as I used to. I usually see him maybe 3 days out of the week, 4 if I'm lucky or it's my short week of work. (I work 12 hours shifts, some weeks I work 3 days, the next week I work 4). When I miss him if I know he is not busy I will call him just to say hello and see how his day is going. If I'm not sure if he is busy or not I will send him a text just to let him know I'm thinking about him and hoping he is having a good day. I also work the opposite shift as him so he usually calls me at work the nights that I am here and we talk for a few minutes before he goes to bed. It's all about communication. It's a good feeling to be missed, it let's you know that other person truly cares about you. :o)

recently my boyfriend of 5 years went away for a week which is not uncommon for him to do in the summer and i guess we just made sure to try and talk almost every night for at least 10-20minutes with the exclusion of one night that he was busy and wasnt able to talk at all. but I guess other than that there are so many other outlets for keeping in contact whjen you miss someone. things like snail mail, myspace, facebook, messengers,skype. ect. theres just so many ways to talk. if i just miss him cause i havent seen him in a few days then sometimes Ill do things like make something for him like a mix cd of songs that make me think of him or a collage of pictures of us or something to give him next time i see him.

Until October of 2008, my husband worked in Arizona, and I lived in Canada, travelling back and forth between Canada and Arizona. When we were apart, we'd listen to eachother's favourite music (we like the same stuff), and talk to eachother on the phone up to three times a day.

I try to stay busy with my responsibilities. I spend quality time with other people in my life, who are not far away. I try to have some fun with my hobbies. And I mylot, LOL. And I wait until the time we can be together again. Phone calls and texts help, but are not as good as physical closeness. It is not easy, but what choice is there, right?
